Ordered Uv Bulbs And Got No Customer Service - Avoid
I bought 2 UV bulbs for my Bioase pond filters. They arrived quickly and price was good which is why I used them.
I only needed 1 but thought it would be a good idea to have a spare.
I fitted 1 of the bulbs but noticed there was no purple glow so removed it and tried the other which worked perfectly.
I emailed Joes Aquatic World on Sunday and they replied Monday morning asking me if it worked at all what filters I had. I quickly replied saying no it did not and I have Bioase filters.
I had no reply till Tuesday (today) asking me if I had fitted it correctly and this request:
"All I require was a video of the bulb not working so I can ensure its not another factor causing the issue"
As I told them I bought 2 and one works perfectly, what other issue....
I opened a Paypal Dispute as all I want is what I paid for.
***Update ***
I claimed £10.90 partial refund or a replacement bulb. Joes Aquatic asked me to close the dispute and they would refund me.
I did this but to my surprise they only refunded me £5.95 so I am still out of pocket after trusting them.
My advice is to not buy from here but if you do do not trust them in a dispute.
As they said to me
"What else can I do - you do not need to send the bulb back and I will refund you.
I am asking you to close the dispute as I can not refund you at present.
Paypal will find in your favour once the bulb is returned to me provided I find it is faulty.
This is not the issue I am trying to save you the trouble of you sending it back and refunding you today rather than waiting a week."
Then I got this reply:
"I have tried to resolve this issue as best I can given the circumstances.
If you would consider either removing or revising your review that would be helpful but obviously this is a matter for your consideration."
