My 4 month pup has been loving his dry food everyday and then all of a sudden went off his food when he came down with a tummy bug and then stopped eating everything apart from his food.

I've spoken to my vets who done their usual and tried to upsell everything they could offer without giving proper advice, popped into pets at home and pets corner who all had blank faces.

The chap I spoke with in A Coombs was so helpful, understood the situation, new all about the Tribe food my pup normally eats, even though they did not sell it, and was able to recommend something similar. His knowledge was what made him stand out along with their great customer service.

This is going to be my go to shop for everything going forward.

Staff discriminate against disabled non mask wearers. Unfriendly. Unprofessional. Not disability friendly.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I like supporting small businesses but will NEVER recommend A Coombs Pet Centre. They sent me a bag of dog food which arrived with a hole in the bottom. They ignored my numerous emails asking for a refund or replacement, not even an acknowledgement. I then phoned them and they claimed that they would call me back!

They deliberately ignored my emails as they managed to respond to my friend’s email enquiring about stock within a few minutes. They obviously do not care about their customers when things go wrong. I have now asked my bank for a chargeback.

Downright rubbish and non-existent customer service. Refusing to offer a refund for faulty or damaged goods is illegal. Use Coombs Pet Centre at your own risk. Also, if A Coombs Pet Centre ask you to return damaged goods, they are liable for the return costs (see s.20(7) and (8) of the Consumer Rights Act 2015). Report to Trading Standards if they refuse to refund or pull any other shady moves etc.

I cannot repeat this enough times, AVOID! Find a different independent pet shop, who is ethical and cares about their customers, not A Coombs Pet Centre.

I purchased a wonderful cockatiel but the cage her and the three friends were in was no bigger than a hamster cage. We ales the man who knew nothing about birds to take her out and my god it was the most stressful thing the door bird has been through. She was flapping about and screaming and because of it being such a small cage she cut her wing but because of all the stress of taking her out we got her anyway. She has been stressed ever since and I can't be dealing with a poor bird like this it is so upsetting to watch. This is to the staff at the shop.. I hope your shop gets shut down. If you had the slightest bit of knowledge about birds then your shop would be a better place for them but.. ITS NOT!!!!!!!! WORST PET SHOP EVER!!! Never go there it is discussing. I even spotted a baby Guinea pig dragging its back leg across the floor. Something is not right with the animals at this shop. Don't worry about me moaning too much because I think I have gained the right to say rubbish about this shop. I hope the shop is reading this.

Been shopping here since moving to Brighton and getting my first cat. Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable about various cat ailments, saved me countless expensive trips going to the vets when all that might need changing is their food, or a change of flea treatments! Many of my friends also shop here and have had the same help. They always have great special offers and what you want in stock.Cannot praise Coombs enough, great little shop.

I used this to buy a dog bed and some dog food the other day. The site was easy to use and they stocked a wdie range of products. The delivery was cheap and it arrived fast which kept my dog happy lol.
