First class service was provided by the store staff from the initial discussion & negotiation of a deal, to the set up and timely delivery of the aged Gibson Les Paul, True Historic, Page burst.

A nice touch was delivery of a USB stick containing pictures of my guitar a few weeks after I had received the guitar.

Went in to ask for a guitar valuation on a hand made guitar. Owner was aggressive, rude, distant and unhelpful. As I was not buying a guitar he did not care what I wanted or want to help in the slightest. Not only was he rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming he refused to give any kind of quote, wouldn't even ask what it was made out of and stated that there was nothing that he could do to even help. He then just put guitar down and walked away without saying good bye to talk to one of his 'friends'. Shocked by the manner of behaviour from this store, he lacked any knowledge of guitars and only seemed to sell glitter covered electric guitars that were quite distasteful and probably over priced.

I've now been playing guitar just over thirty years and have visited pretty much all the decent guitar shops in the UK, not to mention some I just walked straight out off! So I think I have a fair amount of experience when it comes to guitar and amp shopping. World Guitars is simply the best of the best when it comes to buying a quality guitar or amp, they really have got it all right. A wonderful premises and location, a huge amount of choice covering all the best and most desirable guitars and amps you could imagine with experience and knowledge to back it up.

A very friendly atmosphere where the beginner or experienced player are treated in the same manner, lovely demo rooms, comfy leather settees, great prices and the best sparkling mineral water for miles!

Every time I've been at WG its been nothing but an absolute pleasure , the crew are not just there to sell you world class gear but also to give you honest and genuine advice with your best interests at heart . Simply the best in the country " no competition"

I bought a PRS McCarty from Jeff at world guitars part exchanging my Gibson Firebird V. Jeff matched the best PX deal I had been offered and held the McCarty until I was ready for a drive down test the guitar and do the deal. I arrived around lunch time and was offered coffee and even a sandwich before being shown to the demo room. I was plugged into a hardwire pedal board going into a matchless clubman head with a 2x12 cab. All in all a great shopping experience a fair deal on the PX. Jeff was very easy to deal with and he even sent me tickets for me and a guest to PRS private stock event hosted by Paul Smith.

Jeff stocks some incredible guitars and gives great service. Highly recommended.

World guitars are the best by far I ordered a matchless spitfire from them a few years ago but it was not the amp for me after i had it a few days. But jeff was the best i sent it back payed a bit more and got a matchless dc30. They could not have been more help full. I then ordered a les paul custom from them a second hand was exactly as they said it was like new really nice les paul . I recently got a vigier from them same top service the even emailed me at 8pm to check i was happy with string guage that come with the vigier. i have never been to the shop its a 5hr drive but there mail order is the very best cant wait to one day go up see them and spend some more money with them.

The old court buildings provide a suitable building for you to say you're 'guilty' and give yourself a life sentence of pleasure with a high quality guitar.

As soon as you walk into the chambers, you know that it's a high quality establishment. You're not going to be able to pick many flaws with the gear on offer. You just need to choose what suits you best, and Jeff is the man to answer your questions in detail.

It's a nice, comfortable atmosphere - there's no rush or hard sell - liek the man says - they're not 'box shifters' - they're there to help you choose the guitar that's best for you.

Jeff will set up the guitar as you want it, and provide a quality practise room (again with top end amps) for you to hear every nuance of tone from the guitars.

Set in an old Victorian Magistrates Courthouse, World Guitars positions itself as a not your average guitar store, which a focus on customer service that few shops can compete with. These are bold claims, but my experiences with Jeff & Smithy not only match these claims, they exceed them by some margin.

This is evidenced by the amount of customers who remain loyal to the store and over time make multiple purchases – no small feat in austere times and in a market where the typical spend is around £2000 or more per instrument.

Over the years of dealing with Jeff, I have purchased from them guitars and amps from manufacturers such as PRS, Music Man, Nik Huber, Matchless and Fuchs amongst others. The service pre-sale and post-sale has always been exemplary – on the one occasion I have had an issue with an amp developing a fault (caused by a dry solder joint) it was fixed under warranty and returned with no issues or fuss. It was simply dealt with.

I've also had one guitar re-fretted and another re-necked via Jeff's workshop. Again the standard of workmanship has always been first class and the costs reasonable.

World Guitars has become my first choice for guitar purchases and will remain so for some time to come and it's website and face to face service are the benchmarks by which I judge all other boutique guitar stores in the UK.

Buy from world guitars is more of an experience than anything else. The atmosphere is great and they are a really genuine pair of guys. The selection is astounding and the whole customer service both pre and post sale is spot on. When in the market for that special piece to add to my collection, world guitars is the only place I would go!
