Recently had a problem with my guitar and I was told they offer a repair service so I contacted them on Facebook and the reply was quick and friendly. Went into the store the next day and it turns out the problem was a really simple fix so he didn't charge me. He even cut the excess sting off for me as I'd just had them changed. I would definitely recommend using these guys.

I ordered my new Epiphone Sheraton II on Monday morning and by Tuesday it was wth me in Aberdeen. Aswell as a great delivery service, the guitar was professionally set-up for me by the gentleman himself at no extra cost. After looking at countless numbers of on-line stores (as my local store was not competitive), i'm very pleased I went with him and North East.

Ordered sunday, posted monday, delivered tuesday, all in tune and very well wrapped.

Went to Steve James for the first time today after looking at their website over the past month or so!

First impression very impressed with the quality of stock and the excellent service. Considering I bought my first guitar from Bells Catalogue around 50 years ago and payed monthly !!

My sales person made me feel comfortable and I looked at the Epiphone Les Paul.

This has always been my dream guitar! I even got a chance to show my skills by playing for a while! I was shown an excellent little Amp which suited me down to the ground. I bought both and was promised that they would set it all up professionally for me and even through in a new lead!! I pick them up in the morning and I'm already getting excited!!

I would really recommend this shop for their service and quality of stock! Bring on tomorrow !

Recently bought a PRS custom 25th anniversary from the store, my first big purchase, but before that it was my go to for restringing, setups, info and just about everything else even vaguely guitar related. It seems to me that I have spent more time in the shop than out, something that i bet the staff will all agree on! The customer service is brilliant, the guys are very friendly, even as a beginner ive felt perfectly comfortable sitting and playing on the beauty amps and guitars, of which there are many! the guys can tell you anything you know want to know about any gear that youre interested in, and are always willing to give you tips! Would definitely reccommend to anyone, whatever they are looking for.

Spent weeks searching for a Rickenbacker on ebay.

Why take chances driving to London or Southampton to find out its not how it looks in the photos?

Do I trust getting it delivered by a parcel company and having the hassle of sending it back if it's not quite right?

No chance!

Went into the shop and got best deal in the world! No pressure, staff who knew what they were talking about. "Take it upstairs, try it out and if you don't buy it you can still have one of my fresh olives!" Delighted well done.

I was welcomed to the store after a long journey.

With coffee in hand I was given as much time as I needed to decide on my guitar.

I left with a beautiful Gibson J45.
