A new personal communications service, XRS for eXtreme Radio Service will begin shipping within the next few months. (see more details in the GMRS News Blog on this site)
This site supports the new service, with the belief that industry will pick up on this new technology. This new service does not require users to get a license. As such, it is my hopes that illegal, unlicensed users of GMRS will drop GMRS in favor of this new service.
