W.E. Clark & Son in Eastbourne advertise as vintage watch repairs in on site workshop.

I took my expensive watch for battery change and diagnostics. They inserted wrong battery which was too thick and then forced watch to close leaving waterproof gasket sticking out ( but hidden by strap).

Watch movement stopped altogether(wrong battery !) they suggested to service it at over £ 400. They did not give me receipt for new battery either. I took watch to repairs in London Hatton Garden who replaced wrong battery with correct one and my watch works. But they told me that Clark &Son have affected the coil, which I will need to change at some expense.

Beware of entrusting your vintage watch to just any watch repairs, they are not qualified and will ruin your watch. I do not recommend W.E.Clark & Son in Eastbourne !
