Bad Sales And Customer Service!
I decided to purchase a water butt following the recent hose pipe ban. I looked on the internet for a product that would suit my needs and was offered at a reasonable price. I came across the website waterbuttwarehouse.co.uk which appeared to offer what I was after and boasted of its "fast and efficient delivery" normally within 5 working days. So I ordered my 110 litre Slimline Polybutt. Two weeks later I still have not received my water butt.
Five days ago I started to chase up my order. The phone nunber given on my order is picked by an answering service which assures the caller that their call will be answered shortly and keeps you hanging on for several minutes before either asking you to leave a message or cuts you off! After leaving several messages I have received nothing by way of response from the company.
Undeterred I decided to try the live chat facility which the website offers but there is no link to do so - so I suppose it doesn't exist.
My last efforts have concentrated on emailing the company - I'm still waiting for a response.
I did not get any response to my emails or phone messages but tried once again to phone and got through!!!!!
I explained that I wasn't happy with their customer service and the person I spoke to agreed - apparently they have been so overwhelmed with orders (since the hosepipe bans) that they took her on to cope with extra demand. She said she had over 2000 emails to respond to.
I suggested that perhaps they could have put an announcement on their website to explain to customers. The fact that they were not responding to any form of communication was making me think that they were not bona fide.
However the good news was that after speaking to the person at Waterbutt warehouse I received my butt 2 days later.
I shall not be putting any more business their way.
Hi there, we too ordered a watter butt recently (on 21st April), and have yet to receive anything (either the product or any correspondence about why it's not been delivered within 5 working days). I was going to try to contact customer services tomorrow, but by the sounds of it I'm probably not going to have much luck! Have you had a reply to your email yet?? I'm thinking maybe this is a rogue company, maybe we should get watchdog on the case, hahaha!
