I will never use this company again. First the product ( a roll of opaque window film)we wanted to purchase was listed as £25 but because it fell below their '£30 minimum order' we paid and extra £5 for nothing.

Then the original delivery wasn't made despite clear instructions on the order for the parcel to be left in a secure place at our property instead of being taken back to the depot.

The next day one of us took time off work to be in. This didn't happen in the guaranteed time slot. When we called the company they spent 4 hours and several phone calls with us in which they kept claiming the delivery had been made. Eventually we found the delivery several doors away at a house which shares no likeness or similarity in name or number to ours. The delivery company had simply got this wrong.

At all times The Window Film Company looked to shift blame to us saying I must have been either a) out (no, we were in the house at all times) or b) we were unable to find the package at our property (no, it wasn't correctly

Very poor service, very expensive (esp given the extra time spent having to speak to the company and searching for our package).

i would imagine fitting plain a plain design would be a piece of cake, however anything slightly complicated like fitting a FB057 Frosted Window Film is not straightforward. I followed the instructions and fitted the sheets to two Victorian sash windows but noticed I had not removed all the air from under the tape protecting the design. The only really successful way to get this done was to carefully remove the tape in stages, squeegeeing as I did so, then removing more tape and repeating the process.

After another hour I'd completed the extra work apart from trimming off a millimetre of film (where the frame was bowed) which caused some of the paint to shard at the edge and get under the film - the more I tried to remove it the more paint shards fell behind so I left them there.

In hindsight, with this sort of design on a painted window frame it's essential to order the film 1mm smaller, as the putty on the outside easily covers the gap and avoids potentially problematic trimming. Having said that, my girlfriend was delighted with the result so I guess I'm happy too.

This company is not very helpful and would not order again from them.

I've previously ordered just the film from this company to install myself at home and that was very successful - I applied the film to a bathroom window and a back door window. Today this company came to fit the film at our work premises. The two installers that came were brilliant - they kept the area clean and did a great job of installing the window film and we already feel an improvement with reduced temperature and reduced glare. Very professional and would certainly recommend to friends/colleagues.

We are delighted with our Supertint window film that was installed today on our conservatory roof. The installers arrived bang on time. The order process was simple and efficient. Payment was made simple. The product is excellent and we already noticed a difference in reduced glare and temperature this afternoon. The installers were quick, clean and efficient and very courteous. We would definitely recommend this company and its products.

We read the instructions carefully, followed them to the letter. Started to peel off the backing very very slowly but it got completely stuck and we could see it was ripping leaving half of it behind. It was a complicated design and in the end in desperation we had to give up as we ended up with the film in pieces. A complete waste of £30+ Never never again....

Maybe if you had a plain film or one with a tiny design ok, but wouldn't recommend trying to fit the most complicated tree designs yourself. My husband is a good DIY guy but this totally defeated him. I think it was faulty but who knows? There is some small print about "not their problem if problems at installation". Not a happy bunny....

Ordered some DIY film on Wednesday evening and they arrived on Friday. All perfectly cut to the nearest mm and easy to install. Had to remove and refit one due to dust that got stuck but as the film is good quality this was straightforward to do

Delivery - excellent. Customer service on phone - excellent. Product once installed - excellent. HOWEVER, the stripping of the backing film was exeptionally difficult, and the tip for using two pieces of tape did not work at all. In the end I made small jagged cuts on an edge with a scalpel until the backing film came away a little and I could detach it.

This problem almost caused me to give up on the job. It took me longer to take off the backing film than all the rest of the process put together!
