Found out today that the owner of Konteaki Furniture went bankrupt in mid-May 2011. I had to find this out the very hard way as there is NOTHING on the website to tell you this and there is no way to get in touch with the company anymore, emails not responded to and phone rings out. Also found out that the premises in Weston has been emptied and my goods were not part of what was left. So Konteaki have my money and I have no tv unit.

Whats worse is that it is still possible to place an order online and the money will be taken. The website needs to be shut down.

DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

We ordered an oak bookshelf from this trader. We got the inital automated response but then nothing. After 4 weeks we called them but just got their answering service. Left messages but nobody called us back. Eventually een the answer machine must have filled up because then we got a record voise telling us to "call Back". After a few days of this even the message stopped and when I went back to the website they'd removed their phone number and address details. So it looks like they dropped off the planet but they will still accept your order (and money). Passed this to the local trading standards people.

Was a little nervous before ordering following reading reviews about this company, however decided to take the plunge.

The quality of the furniture is excellent and combined with the price, make this a very superb buy overall.

What let this company down was the communication or lack of, in relation to delivery date. Delivery of the order was delayed resulting in an 8 week wait, not the 4-6 week wait initially informed and required me to e-mail a number of times, but to be fair, they responded to all e-mails promptly.

In summary, quality goods is beyond expectation but communication around delivery lets teh company down resulting in them being reactive not proactive.

It was the first time I have bought any furniture online and was a bit concerned when I placed the order but I must say I was pleasantly surprised with how helpful and efficient Konteaki were.

I ordered an oak chest and wardrobe and after asking several questions about the wardrobe and construction I placed the order.

I knew it would take 4 weeks or so to arrive so I was surprised when the delivery company called to book in the delivery in after only 3 weeks.

The furniture arrived on time and was taken up to the bedroom although it was a bit of a tight squeeze.

I really like the chest and wardrobe and would recommend Konteaki to my family and friends.

I orders some pine furniture from these guys and was pleased with the furniture I had delivered.

Ordered some bedsides and a chest and thought the price was very good considering the quality of the furniture.

I contacted them several time asking for measurments nd if the furniture would fit upstairs.

They answered all my questions and the furniture arrived approx 4 weeks later.

I would recommend them from my experiences.

This company will greatly disappoint you, unless you enjoy being messed about and lied to about when your furniture will arrive !

Best not to take your chances with these guys to be honest, and don't let the fake reviews the owner has left around the internet fool you !

Found the konteaki furniture very helpful when i needed some advice about the table, the dining table arrived on time and was taken by the delivey men to my dining room and i am very happy with the quality of the table and chairs.

The delivery company called 2 days before to make sure i could take the delivery.

I found the website really easy to use and would recommend konteaki to anyone who wants some nice oak furniture.

I am really pleased with the oak chest we recently purchased from Konteaki furniture.

I found the customer services really helpful and the delivery went smoothly also.

The chest was of an excellent quality and well boxed.

I have since recommended them to my family and friends 2 of them have thus far purchaed furniture from konteaki and they were similarly impressed.

Found Konteaki Furniture awful generally. Goods were damaged on arrival and was expecting something made from solid wood and it was MDF

Konteaki Furniture offer a good selection of furniture, with friendly staff.

Excellent price, good and helpful customer service, and we loved the furniture we purchased.
