I bought a Silverline bandsaw from Freepost tools. The service was okay and the item arrived at the time they said it would. I suppose that in order to keep prices down, they impose a surcharge to pay by credit card. There was no surcharge for using my debit card so I paid using that.

They used Yodel as their courier. Based on previous experience, It is a company that I would generally avoid using. That is a negative point but for value for money and timeliness of delivery, Freepost tools cannot be faulted.

Not used drill much so cannot comment on its quality but all seemed okay upon checking it when it arrived. The delivery was speedy and the main reason for my purchase with this company was the fact that the price was very competive compared to other companies so my overall experience is good.

Returned an unwanted gift as it was not required. Initially very polite and agreed the item can be sent back.

2 days later after the item had been taken receipt of I was informed the packaging was damaged and sent 2 ambiguous photographs. I of course questioned this and asked why it has taken 2 days to notify myself or even notify the courier regarding the damage but they couldn`t answer. Some of their content in their e-mails I received was absolutely ridiculous. This is when a company comes into it`s own and I can say that this company is left short in every aspect.

They have the item still after 2 weeks and are holding my money so was left with no option but to contact Trading Standards etc regarding the company and it`s behaviour.

I will pursue this until some resolution is sort.

I cannot review this product as l purchased it as a gift and the only way to stop the endless emails asking for a review. the actual purchasing and speed of delivery excellent and the item looks as if it will do the job. l hope this will stop the emails coming.and l have no idea on the value for money until it is used, broken or continues to work.............

I tried this website as they do not charge for delivery, which made them much cheaper than other sites that charge about £7 for delivery!

I got what I wanted including delivery for £3.95. That doesn't include VAT but as I was buying for the company it was better to get a price without VAT.

The broom head arrived within a few days and the quality is fine.
