It has taken 6 visits and 3 different employees to finally have our 'made-to-measure' blinds (some of which were cut to fit on site, incidentally, thanks to them being unable to correctly measure a bay window).

Staff members were pleasant enough and I was happy to forgive their first visit resulting in 2 inch gaps where you could see in from outside, as they promised to rectify their mistake within a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks passed and lo and behold, the latest blinds didn't fit either! Both of these installation visits lasted approx' 8 hours each, two days I had to take off work so I could be there when they fitted them!

On the third installation visit we finally have blinds I expected to be finished on the first day (a third day I had to be in for installation) and within 24 hours I had them on the phone chasing payment, an hour or two after I received their invoice, I noticed they hadn't offered any kind of discount despite their repeated mistakes and inconvenience to myself and my wife, unbelievably I was told there wouldn't be a discount because they had to remake 5 different sets of blinds, forgetting that this was purely their fault!

3 different people measured the windows on 4 different occasions (one person visited twice). How many blind fitters does it take to change a light bulb...?

I am certain I could have done a better job myself and saved myself a lot of time and money.

Avoid like the plague.

I live locally and wanted to find a local blind company to fit blinds in my home. We needed conservatory blinds and i specifically want pinoleum and pleated blinds as my brother has these in his home and they look really good. The British blind company was walking distance from my home and they offered so much know how on what would be the best type of fabric to choose and which would help keep my conservatory warm in the winter and cooler int he summer and i am so glad i chose them as the information i recieved has really been the best as it has helped me with making the right choices for my home. We now have a beautiful feature window in our baywindow with lovely roman blinds and matching curtains which really help keep the warmth in now the nights are much colder and its so nice that the baywindow has become a talking point with our dinner guests. We also had custom made curtains for our bedroom with blackout blinds to keep the light out and its really made such a difference to our quality of sleep we don't no how we slept before having these in our windows.

I am so glad we chose this local Dorking company and we hope to return soon for some matching throws and a new chair with matching fabric for our guest bedroom.
