I have been there with these guys, do not trust them. If I had a pound for every person who has taken them to court I would be rich now!!! I understand if you take them to a small claims court, yes they will turn up, yes you will most probably win your case against them but do they pay up?? Do they hell! You said there website is down at the moment, more like they have folded the Company yet again!

Seemed like such a nice guy on phone...sais the production was in thailnad and they only took cheque as they felt the credit card charges were sometimes more than a months salary for their worker and it wasnt fair...i was so impressed!! and the quality of website was absolutely ace!! ordered the ottoman and then the nightmare started. The money was taken from the account promptly and then i kep calling every single day and no one would pick up...and when they did they always said someone will call back and no one ever did. Contacted the trading standards, wrote the legal letter and still waiting...and now the website is even down for repairs....going to take legal action against them (been two months from order and not heard a thing).....SCAM!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

We are absolutely shocked by this company. Worst experience ever of online shopping.

They took our money, goods were not delivered for more than a year! No refund issued. Trying to contact them is nightmare. I think they deliberately avoid people who already paid them. They are kind and nice when you are new client BEFORE you send them money.

Also what they like to do is to charge your card twice "accidentally".

I don't know how they managed to stay out of jail and even have their card processing license. TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY FROM THEM and TELL YOUR FRIENDS. They also registered on Facebook and Twitter, we are contacting Facebook and Twitter now to close their accounts there. They update Twitter regularly as if they are genuine but they never send refund or answer phone! STAY AWAY!

Soto are by the worst company I have ever had dealings with.

Me and my partner had been looking for a bookcase for some time before stumbling upon this website. The website was very well laid out out and sold some of the most amazing looking furniture we had seen.

We decided to buy a bookcase from the site even though it was more expensive than we would have liked - it just looked so good we just had to buy it.

The delivery estimates was 12-16 weeks. This seemed reasonable as the furniture is made to order.

After around 20 weeks we still hadn't received the bookcase and hadn't heard anything from Soto. We contacted them and were told that there had been a delay and as compensation gave us some vouchers to spend on the site. Fair enough we thought. But the weeks continued to pass by with no sign of the bookcase (or the items that we purchased with the vouchers!). We tried emailing the company only to have our emails ignored. We would call up but the person we needed to speak to wouldn't be there, and would apparently call us back. We were never called back once. We were promised several delivery dates and have stayed in all day on several occasions without a delivery attempt.

We reported Soto to trading standards and demanded our money back. We were told we would be refunded but still haven't been and that was around 5 weeks ago. We are now taking legal action to have our money returned to us.

If you are tempted to use SOTO, please DON'T. They are crooks and will steal your money like they have ours. I would urge anybody to steer clear of Soto and spend your money elsewhere.
