Completely Misleading

I ordered a sofa online and was confirmed 24 h shipment.

When I called the next day to confirm delivery time, customer service told me the item was not ready for delivery and they had no way to confirm a date - could be 4 to 6 weeks subject to confirmation.

I wish they at least had called to warn me

Would not recommend to anyone.

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered a new sofa from here just after moving into my flat last week. I paid extra for the next day, 2 man delivery service and was expecting my sofa to arrive today. I have, only this morning, received a text to tell me that my sofa will not be delivered to me today due to a problem in their network ... I have now called their supplier, Worldstores (Dunelm) and told them that I have taken a day off of work for this delivery, that I cannot take any more time off after my move and that I needed that sofa to arrive today! They told me that the item will not be arriving today as it was picked by them too late at the warehouse and didn’t make it onto the delivery truck today. They offered me an alternative delivery date of Friday after I already told them I could not get any more time off of work. I have now requested a full refund and I will never use Dunelm or any of it’s ‘sub-companies’ again ... Way to lose customers guys!

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible

November 2017 I ordered X2 sofas, one next day delivery, one 8-12 weeks. 2 days after I ordered I had a text stating they could not deliver the next day. Out of stock, I sent 2 emails no response so called. Wouldn't be in till end of January. Still waiting so cancelled. The 8-12 sofa I ordered in red. They did deliver this one in January, however delivered a cream on. Refused delivery, spent an hour calling to find out what has happened. I was told they had a order for cream but confirmation email I had stated red. I would not use this company ever again. Gone to another company

Shouldn't Be Trading!

Sofas World' part of Dunelm are disgusting and shouldn't be trading! They had £600 of my dads money for well over a month and kept fobbing us off about the sofa bed we ordered. Out of stock, it's in and we'll despatch it soon. We also got written confirmation on an email saying it'll be definitely delivered on the Wednesday, wasn't even on a despatch list! First they sent the wrong one, we arranged pick up and to deliver the correct one. They picked up but said the one for delivery is on another van! My sister and I rang them, they hung up on us more than once. We said we were contacting Trading Standards and our Solicitors. All the time this was happening our dad was in hospital having major surgery so he needed the sofa bed for when he got out of hospital. We are not happy about this and will never use Sofas World again, same goes for Dunelm. We had enough stress on without any of this. The money finally got refunded back into the account, but that only happened as we threatened them with action. The staff are terrible and how they got employed in the first place is beyond me. Really angry about this.

Still No Delivery After Second Time Of Waiting In

Purchased end August and heard nothing for months, despite hanging on the phone waiting for someone to answer or sending numerous emails. Finally thought we'd got somewhere when a delivery date was confirmed only for nobody to turn up. Another four weeks later and a delivery date sent through. Again nobody arrived and still no sofabed. I have sent three emails requesting a refund and nothing. This company is owned by Dunelm who I have held in high regard until this experience. So still no sofabed or refund four months in!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Delivery Date

Was given a date for sofa bed delivery I took day off work for this was sent email giving date 5th dec 2017 waited waited rang was left to hold for 45mins finally got through for them to say it's on it's way..no delivery rang held again got through told me to book another date I told them I lost a days wage waiting for item they just don't care booked sat 9th was told its on its way be there for 1.3m I thought great. No delivery so I am still waiting I am single got family for Christmas no sofa work shifts losing days wage losing time for Xmas shopping this is out of order will never order from this store again rated 0 ... Was told 1 to 2 weeks del ordered 23rd nov

Appalling Service

Wish had read reviews before ordering. My order did not arrive on my specified delivery date and I did not even get the courtesy of an email/call informing it was not coming. Sent email and was told it would take 72 hours so investigate which is an inordinate amount of time to wait. Tried to call several times but you can never get through to speak to someone.

Happy With My Purchase

So day before chair was due to be delivered I came across bad review after bad review of sofasworld. I admit their customer service line is appalling as you are basically on hold for up to 30 minutes before you get to speak to someone. However, in saying that I received a response to my email query within 2 hours to confirm my delivery was scheduled for the next day. Received a call from delivery drivers at 7.30am day of delivery and they arrived within the hour. My new swivel chair is beautiful and a great price. Happily relieved! Happy customer.

Absolutely Disgusting Service - Rate The Service As Nil

I ordered a chair and sofa on 14/917 a Monday, for delivery the following Tuesday. Ten days later carrier wanted to deliver a chair, no sofa, so refused. After numerous phone calls and again a delivery of two chairs, again refused. I spoke to five different operator who all assured me it was on order. Eventually I asked a reorder of sofa and chair. Carrier turned up with one chair, as after four weeks waiting and sitting on deck chairs i accepted one chair. After more phone calls and several emails I was informed after seven weeks and was informed by email sofa was out of stock and not available until January at earliest. By this time I was spitting feathers!! I insisted a temporary sofa be sent. They agreed this and a date for delivery of 10/11/17. Today is 17/11/17 and no sofa has appeared. I phoned today for the first time in a few weeks as I was fed up holding on waiting for someone and the phone bill is astronomical. Anyway I was given a lot more useless excuses and again assured I would get this phantom replacement, earliest date for delivery to be 24/11/17. Apart from anything else what about their advertised next day delivery!! . TDo not believe anything you are told I certainly would not recommend anyone using this company ever. I have 32 emails mostly from me to them, as they did not have the common curtesy to reply to a few of mine!! I have wasted so much time and energy on this. I do all my shopping on line, even bought my last sofa and dining room furniture on the internet and have never been let down like this. The ironic thing is there was not a thing wrong with my ld furniture, just I wanted a change. I donated it to British Heart Foundation where it has gone to good home at a good price. I await with baited breath for a whole week to see if a sofa is delivevered. The best thing to do is cancel right at the beginning, but I had paid a hefty deposit and entered into a credit agreement, so no chance of getting out of it or my money back with their record!! The saga continues as I intend to seek some form of compensation. DOES ANYONE FROM SOFASWORLD READ THESE???

Absolutey Shocking

We have booked leave to receive a sofa on the agreed date, but it did not arrive. No one bothered to contact us to let us know - it was only when we called and spent 45 minutes on hold and eventually got through that we were then told they had no idea when the sofa will be in stock (potentially could take months) or when or if we will receive it. Strongly advise against purchasing anything from Sofa World, worst online purchase I have EVER experienced.

I have just purchased a 3+2 seater suite by finance today. I am expecting it to be delivered on Wednesday 18th May. Will my old 3+2 suite will be collected and taken away when the new one is delivered?
