The chair we ordered looked good online but was of poor quality when delivered, fabric looked old & dirty and was uncomfortable.

Charged a "restocking" fee to return on top of return postage which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Seeking advice on that point but please take my advice and avoid Sofa & Home.

I paid through credit card on the night before and the next morning a representative called me at 8.30 am claiming i didn't pay for the good ...even though it wasn't even sent yet and that I was being fraudulent in a very aggressive and condescending manner. My credit card company advised my that the payment had been made and it was the company Sofa and Home that cancelled the transaction.

3. Phoned next morning from Sofa and Home to advise additional charges to receive order

4. Say no and I am hung up on by the caller.

5. Call back by 1471 and ask if he hung up or line cut off, advised 'must have cut off'....

6. Order cancelled - disgusted....

7. Go online and find out same products available cheaper elsewhere - 8. Happy again

NEVER USE SOFA AND HOME!!!!

That effectively describes their performance - They advertised a product , we paid up front, they 'arranged' a delivery time. My wife arranged to be off, then less than 24 hours before delivery, they informed me that it was no longer available.

My wife phoned up the company, no apology from 'so called' manager - in fact he was arrogant and effectively said it wasn't their fault - In that case who's was it - Ours!!!

Ordered Febland carver chairs but received armless dining chairs instead. Delivery on time but packaging very poor. Quality is appalling. Would not have bought them if I had seen them first. Four chairs not worth the price of one. Has put me off buying furniture on the internet completely.

I liked the website and so I thought it might be a good company from which to order my new sofa.

I sent an email as I wanted to double check some of the dimensions to ensure the sofa would be suitable for my living room. I received a very curt, one line reply, which didn't answer my question.

I phoned up in case there was a misunderstanding, only to be given the same short, unhelpful reply again over the phone. In not so many words the person told me if I had so many questions I would be better buying it from another company.

Fair enough - so that's exactly what I did!

Surprising though in this modern day and age, a company would be so prickly to deal with when a customer was just asking a straight forward query.

Terrible experience and customer service, you would think they were the customer not you.

Bought some tables and chairs recently. He could not have been more helpful. There were manufacturing problems with the chairs and he supported my opinion with the manufacturer. He organised the return and promptly made my refund. Recommended.

Ordered 6 dining chairs to go with a table I ordered elsewhere. I'd seen the chairs on the high street and then found them here at a fraction of the price. When I placed the order I was informed they were out if stock and told at date they would be available. This was quite a long time, maybe 8 weeks. The chairs came a week after the original date quoted. This didn't cause me any problems and I'm very happy with the chairs, in fact I always get comments saying how nice they are. They required some assembly, but it was straight forward.

Brilliant service from placing order to delivery. Would recommend to anyone. Good communication even a phone call on the morning of delivery. Table and chairs well made and sturdy. Very pleased.
