I love my slot together sofa, had mine for around 5 yrs and still looks like new, only found out the company had gone bust when I decided I'd get more covers as I've redecorated my lounge and fancied a different colour, hope this company is not gone forever, fab sofas, at fab prices and I won't be replacing the one I've got anytime soon

I have a slot sofa lots of it I change its shape every Xmas to make space for the tree and other special occasions its so easy to replace the covers wash the covers replace any broken parts not that I have any, its now over five years old looks like new everyone always says how comfy it is and where did I get it, yes the company went bust but it was only a tiny company with a brainwave idea to get big sofas in small places. But companies go bust all the time that's life folks. If I had the money I would start this company again. I have watched many of friends and relatives spend £3000 on a suite from the big boys like dfs furniture village then tip it! two and half years later. Mine cost £1000 spends most of its life in a c shape so it seats eight nicely,great for watching movies, I only come across this review page because I'm in search of some more slot furniture second hand the smaller depth for my conservertory. I wished there more carpenters and upholsterys around so we had more choice instead of the same old cr** from ikea etc etc.. Some one please bring back some individuality at a affordable price not £11,000 Italian b******** that's no better than what I've already got!!

Help! I have a 5 seat l-shaped corner group that I bought from slot a few years ago. I have dismantled it to move house and cannot get it back together again! Does anyone have instructions or could you perhaps take the cushions off and email me a picture of the underneath. I am struggling with the corner seat! If anyone can help it would be be great. Very disappointed with our corner sofa purchased from Nabru. Arrived with several wrong covers and had to persuade a very condescending salesman that it wasn't because I wasn't assembling it correctly. 2 years later we are going to have to dump the sofa as it has worn through all of the connecting 'bumps' underneath and the stitching on the covers has come undone. The seats never fitted into the base correctly and would slip out repeatedly. I spent £900 on our combination and it is the most expensive mistake I have made. Also, the sofa isn't as compact as it looks on screen as it protrudes by 15cm behind the back. If I had had the oportunity to view the sofa first, I would never had purchased it.

i am writing a review on nabru.co.uk as there arnt many around heres my thoughts:

i got my sofa yesterday i went for the atto 3 + 4 corner sofa and it cost £785 we ordered the sample fabrics first which arrived the very next day ! super .. we decided to go for the max in mink.

it was delivered 2 days later on a pallet shrink wrapped and the lorry driver helped unload the bits into my house which was good of him

when i had all the bits in the front room i sort ov thought OMG wat have i done as there was so many pieces of mdf and to be honest it looked tacky however the cusions all looked fab so we decided to go ahead and build the thing. building it was fairly easy if your good at that sort of thing however it would have made it even better if the pieces had of been labelled as matching the bits to the drawings was a little difficault when they all look pretty similar, however it all went together and took around 2 1/1 hrs between 2 ppl and i have to say it didnt look tacky any more it looked amazing!

the way it all fits is fantastic and id say the main tip is if it doesnt just simply slot in its not the right piece as evrythin fits like a glove. the structure is so sturdy and strong im sure u could get an elephant to sit on it.

I wont lie as it is fiddly getting the fabrics to be perfect and you sort of become ocd whilst doing this!

Now its got pride of place in my living room i cant belive it looks so good its so comfortable too , i went for the softer seating option it is quite firm but nabru say it should soften over a few weeks to be just right.

I honestly cannot fault this company their customer service was fantastic when i called and thier correspondence has been great all the way through i dont know why people would want to spend 2 -3 k in dfs or the likes when these seem much stronger once built and so stylish.

If i had any faults to pik there would only be 2 :

scotch gaurd is basically, they send the cans of spray for you to do yourself , which for me is a pain as i have a 6 month old baby in the house and you need to vent the area for 12 hrs ...nearly impossible for me !

the parts are not labelled like abc and so on , this would make it much simpler to build and problay half the time too !

I will definately use them again in the future and will never go to a "normal" sofa shop again ever

Bought a red corner sofa 2 years ago. Brilliant design and practicality, have had it in several different rooms. Cushions are firm and sturdy. Shame company has gone bust. I would have bought another one for upstairs.

According to Companies House, Slot Furniture Ltd has now been dissolved.

I am fortunate that the sofa that I bought was delivered in good shape, and an extension bought sometime later arrived too however it was not built with the same quality of materials as the original. (Some parts seemed to be made of off-cuts that were stapled together, this was probably a sign they were struggling)

I am very happy with the sofa, I would never have got a normal sofa of this size into my 1st floor lounge. I am sitting on it now, it's good.

I hope everybody managed to get their money back. As a business owner myself I am truly gutted for everybody concerned, I don't like to see businesses fail, and I have a natural dislike of seeing customers dissatisfied. Their product seemed fundamentally sound, in fact when I originally assembled my sofa I called it "genius" and I stand by that comment now. I had been hoping to buy more sofas from them for my business, but it was not to be. I do hope the product can come back in some way, I still believe there is a market for it.

I've got a corner sofa from Slot Furniture. It was like trying to put together a giant 3D puzzle. I like the colour of the sofa, however its squeeky and the back isnt high enough so i end up resting my head on the wall. Its OK, but i wish id just saved up and bought a sofa i REALLY liked!

Ordered a modular corner sofa two years ago from Slot Furniture and am reasonably happy with it, but my main complaint is the assembly...the instructions were near impossible to understand..took me the best part of a day to build.

Ordered a sofa from Slot in May 2008. The sofa was not ready on time and were told there was a problem with one of the machines and the completion date was put back and put back. We never received the sofa and we have not been able to contact the company. The phone just rings and rings. We had to claim back the money from the credit card company but this all takes time, phone calls, faxes and more personal expense. A wasted day trip to Windsor, a waste of time and money which we can ill afford. Very disappointed that companies can get away with treating customers like this.
