I had previously bought a coffee table from them about a year ago which still looks fabulous, all i do is wax like it says on the website and still looks like the day I bought it albeit with a few fine splits which was expected and wanted so I have just recieved my TV stand and blocks, I asked to have them matching and they have done a fantastic job.

Communication was excellent and allthough a slight delay its to be expected when something is made for you, and it was sorted very quickly.

Very pleased and will definitely reccomend and probably be back for more as I have my eye on a jewellery box.

Initial contact by email and ordering were straight forward - although there were a few issues with the website crashing. After three weeks the expected order didn't arrive. I contacted the customer service email and was told the order would arrive a week later. One week later the order didn't arrive. I emailed again and was given 100% assurance that the order would arrive the following Friday. When the order didn't arrive I emailed again and was given a phone number to ring. I verbally agreed a delivery date which followed a holiday of three weeks and still the order hadn't arrived upon my return. I emailed again to be told that I had been sent an email with a different delivery date - I received no email to this effect. Again a further delivery date was arranged and yet again the order failed to arrive. At this point it was nearly 12 weeks from payment and placement of the initial order and at no point did I receive any apology for the continued delays. I then contacted Paypal to initiate a refund and got abrupt messages from the seller who denied all of the above and again no apology. The order did finally arrive and one corner of a table had been damaged in transit. having taken so long to get the order in the first place I didn't fancy trying for a return. Overall a poor experience especially as there is so much choice out there. I definitely wont be using oakbeam furniture again.

I purchased a few items from oakbeamfurniture about 4 months ago, 1 glass tv stand, 1 oak beam coffee table with glass through the centre which they made to my own sizes for me at no extra cost it was only a cm or 2 but never the less a very nice gesture that was appreciated as we had struggled to find anyone else to accommodate us, we also purchased 3 oak blocks of different sizes a week later and have now just ordered an oak beam fire surround.

The quality of all the items we have are perfect and the owner was very pleasant and helpful throughout with nothing to much trouble for him, and I am sorry to say i was probably not the easiest of customers to please, so thank you very much.

I cannot wait to see my fire surround and I have recommended oakbeamfurniture to my sister and mother-in-law not that they need recommending as they have both seen the furniture and are placing orders with the company.

I received my coffee table & tv stand this weekend and I love it thank you its perfect, I can't wait to show them off. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and easy to talk to about my requirements. It all Arrived on time, and the after sales was very helpful when i wanted information about after care and the best products to use, afterall this is an investment and should be looked after accordingly, 2 months in and it just looks perfect.

The furniture is very solid and good quality with a lovely grain exactly what I wanted.

I will definitely be adding more to my collection from oak beam furniture.

We bought a 120cm wide, 2 shelf, 2 beam TV/HiFi unit and we are delighted with it.

Our requirements were a little non standard but the man I dealt with was very easy to work with to get exactly what we wanted.

The TV/HiFi unit is very different from run of the mill furniture but well worth paying that little bit extra. We felt that if you have decent equipment it should be housed in decent furniture.

We also bought a lamp stand and now my wife wants more of these.

I had been looking for a square beam coffee table for some time but couldn't find one, then oakbeamfurniture offered to make one for me at a good price. They may not be the cheapest out there, but i got the impression that some cheaper companies were a bit amateurish. They were very professional from first contact. The coffee table arrived when expected and I was very impressed.

It is exactly what it was promised to be, there were rustic edges as described in the terms and conditions but these can be put to the underside. However we are not sure whether to put them to the top as they do look nice either way so in a way we have 2 tables for the price of one

The table is very heavy and the beams are solid and finished perfectly, I was a bit wary as some sites i had looked on the beams or finish didnt look right.

Overall very impressed!

Extremely sturdy solid oak furniture. The previous review states about the legs being in 2 pieces but thats exactly what the photo shows and look really good, not sure how else anyone would expect a solid block of oak that size to be made from beams.

the fire surround fitted perfectly and was made to my exact measurements.

The Tv Stand was also made to my sizes with shelves fitted exactly where I asked. very impressed

I got exactly what I ordered and exactly as described if not better. i will definately be back for more furniture from them.

What else could you ask for?

I placed an order for a made to measure coffee table based on the competative price and the fact that with a coffee table there was little that could go wrong.

Initial E-mails were answered promptly and efficiently.

The coffee table was delivered as promised a week later.

Then I notioced that rather than a coffee table I actually had a pile of bits of very expensive wood and no way of fixing them together into a sturdy and, crucially with young children, safe item of furniture. Instead I was apparently expected to rest the oak beams on the legs. Unfortunately it took very little force to move the oak beams and to ultimately push them off. When I questioned this I was told there should have been fixings in the package though I now realise that was never the case as despite several requests and promises I have never received anything.

The legs themselves rather than being a single piece of wood are actually 2 pieces of wood glued together and look ridiculous. A total botch if ever there was one.

The overall width of the coffee table was also less than specified, though I have to accept that in the small print it does say sizes are aproximate. as such I had to order an additional beam to try and make up for the fact it wasn't wide enough.

It was delivered on time but again no fixings as promised.

Thus I had to go out and buy my own fixings and spend a considerable length of time making the whole structure safe.

Of the 3 beams I had delivered 2 were poor quality and could only be fitted one way up. they were described as rustic but in reality they were just poor quality. All 3 were different lengths which again makes the overall thing look daft though I have made the best of it.

E-mails now are just not answered as they have my money. Lesson learnt.

I should have rejected the initial delivery as not fit for purpose rather than stick with it hoping for fixings and ordering an additional beam.

Overall I tried to save some money by ordering from here rather than pay more from other companies I know and trust and I have paid the price in terms of hasstle and having an inferior piece of furniture.

We wanted a TV stand that would fit the lines and tone of our wood beam reception room and the stand has definitely succeeded on these points. Our TV is quite large so being able to specify custom sizes (width, depth and height) was a mandatory requirement. The item arrived in excellent condition as the packaging was more than adequate.

We will most certainly consider further purchases from Oak Beam Furniture.

The block is great just what we were looking for lovely piece loved how its the centre of the tree. Would order from again my emails were answer straight away
