furniture today is a scam and mean company they get your order and not deliver it at all neither do they notify you of its progress i was lucky my natwest bank refunded me throu chargeback scheme i do thank my bank for helping me get

my money back.

never again would i buy anything from them again and i would not recommend them to anybody not even my enemy.

Purchased Furniture On 9 Jan, And Paid By Visa Deb

Purchased furniture on 9 Jan, and paid by visa debit, money was taken in full from my account on the 11 Jan, i have gone through the chargeback scheme with Santander and happy to say that I have received a full refund from them today. Don't let your bank fob you off or tell you they can't do anything. Insist on speaking to the fraud dept.

I Reviewed "furniture Today" On 4th February When

I reviewed "Furniture Today" on 4th February when I learned they had gone into liquidation. Found exactly the same goods on "CSN Furniture" website and although quite reluctant to order online again did so mid February. My goods are to be delivered this Friday 4th March. I did have a niggling feeling when I ordered items from "Furniture Today" and although I do pay by debit card more often than not, decided to pay with a credit card. GOOD LESSON LEARNED - ALWAYS PAY BY CREDIT CARD. My credit card company have refunded the £342 today. This company having gone into voluntary liquidation will be able to set themselves up again under another name, so be very careful. NOTE TO REVIEW CENTRE - YOU REALLY SHOULD AMEND YOUR STAR RATING SYSTEM SO REVIEWERS ARE ABLE TO GIVE A NO STAR RATING.

Give us a break guys! I worked there and contrary to most of your beliefs, we found out we were made redundant the day it happened! we didn't know as far as back november, december, or even in the beginning of January! as far as we were concerned, it was still going ahead! and as for your late furniture, there are ALWAYS going to be delays with any online company, they weren't lies we were telling, it's just something that has to be accepted! if you knew the amount of work we had to do, and still managed to get it done, you would have had some respect for us. The people who visited Runfold know what i'm on about! It's a shame none of the happy customer we had wrote reviews. and as for people saying, and I quote "should be buried along with it's staff", just think about the people you're actually talking about and what we had to put it with, especially with customers like that expressing their plain ignorance!

I am also a former employee, luckily left in 2009. However I do know that most of the things customers were told were lies, and the delays were usually down to the fact that Furniture Today hadn't paid suppliers. But I can imagine that it is just as bad a place to order from as it is to work for.

I was foolish enough to place an order and pay in full on debit card like hundreds of others. However I am pleased to say after much heart ache my bank HSBC has decided to reimburse my money so please have faith if you too felt like a victim .

If you look back a bit you will see my review about this company...6 months and not all my order...was reluctant to order from any other online but did....ordered from The Bedroom Shop on the Wirral....they have a lot of the same stock as FT had...what a difference...good service good prices delivery all the way to Cornwall on the day promised..less than 4 weeks from order took 10% only with order and rest day before del. 2 man del really good cannot praise enough so if you have been let down by FT order from this co. reeally really pleased....

Ordered My Bedroom Furniture In Dec 2010 And Was S

Ordered my bedroom furniture in Dec 2010 and was sent an email mid January stating my furniture will be delivered by end of February. Have recently received a letter confirming they have gone into liquidation am not impressed at all as i was due my furniture this week! The lady on the phone must have known they were going into liquidation when she took my payment on the 22nd Dec, as i never received anything other than an email stating date of delivery (which i can no longer find) Barclays are trying to get out of paying me my money back even though they can see the money leaving my personal account this is not enough proof of payment for them!!! Have been well and truly stitched up by furniture today!!!!

If I was able award this company zero stars I would.

I ordered a dressing table from Furniture Today, in wait for it, MARCH 2010. I paid for this is full and waited patiently over my 4-6 week delivery time.

I have a catalogue of e-mails with empty promises, meaningless apologies and fairytale delivery dates. I can't believe I was taken in my their friendly staff on the other end of the phone who were obviously trained to lie and deceive decent hard working people, when they must have known we would never see our goods or cash.

As for the phoney 5 star reviews on here- nobody sees through it.

As a previous poster said, there is a suspicious alternative website called Osborne and Brown looking to cash in on the misery experienced by people using Furniture Today.

This is my ONLY negative experience shopping online. The scum behind this scam should be held to rights and not allowed to go back into business.
