same story here, ordered a bed and mattress from Discount Furniture Direct at the start of December and by 12th December they said they were in administration on their webpage, and would be contacting all customers, never did! I called, no response, I emailed, then I checked companies house, they never filed for receivership, and whois look ups, revealed they are using the same registrant for their new "info only" site, and is now in partnership with three other furniture suppliers. I had even called them on their helpline before ordering, checked reviews - even so I lost my money, and would NOT recommend ever buying from this site.

Ordered four pieces of furniture from Discount Furniture Direct at the beginning of october, told it would be 20 days. After chasing them several times during november and december, I finally got a phone call from them on December 10th saying they were going to deliver it December 11th, it never showed up and I could not manage to contact them after that. December 12th they ceased trading.

Any ideas how I get my money back?

Ordered sofabed from Discount Furniture Directon 19/10/08 told 20 days for delivery. still had not received any news of it by 21/11/08 so cancelled order and requested refund which was told would take 30 days and I'm still waiting for it. With no reply to my e-mails I'm at a loss what to do - any ideas?

Ordered my little girls bed on 30th October. I was informed the bed would arrive by december but im trying to get a refund. Companies house website still had the company listed as active. anyone have any ideas?

Ordered bed from Discount Furniture Direct on 28th Nov, was told up to 20 days for delivery, sent an email chaser on 18th dec to see if it was on its way...didn't receive a reply back, phoned them today to get a voicemail saying they had ceased trading, anyone know how i can get my money back?

I have contacted them today and have been told by a telephone message that they have ceased trading. I ordered a wardrobe at the beginning of November and was told 20 days delivery. I contacted them last week and the week before and was told they were looking into it. Now I suspect that this was a load of old nonsense. I don't know who to contact now. Anybody else have this problem?

Ordered a range of furniture that comes from Germany, with estimated delivery of 6-8 weeks. After hearing nothing for 8.5 weeks I contacted company where I was informed it would be another 6 weeks. Cancelled order but had to e-mail twice and wait nearly 3 weeks to get a full refund.
