Thus Far, Cultured Home Has Had My Money For A Mon
Thus far, Cultured Home has had my money for a month and I don't have any idea when my goods will be delivered, despite the 28 day dispatch promise. I wouldn't recommend using this company at all. The ladies at the front desk are rude, the response to an enquiry is to put you through to the same endless voice mail and the response is exactly nothing. I think this company is run on a shoestring budget.
We Ordered Roma Leather Bed From Cultured Home.com
We ordered Roma Leather Bed from Cultured Home.com. The company owner told us that the bed is a brown colour. We paid for the item, the delivery was very fast within 3 days of payment as promised. When we received the bed it was a 'black brown' colour. We immediately contacted them but they basicaly didn't want know that he didn't tell us that it's a black brown colour. Wouldnt take his bed back, called Trading Standards agency and credit card company, they advised us to return the bed whether he gives us a full refund or not as we were under the 7 days Distance Selling Regulation Law. For first 3 days he kept saying that he needs to speak to other company directors, but when we secretly called main switchboard number, they confirmed that he is the sole owner of the business. Basically he was trying to pass the 7 days period. All in all we kept the bed but the amount of hassle he had to go through was unbelievable. Wouldn't recommend this retailer for any thing he sells.
The customer requested a brown bed, which they had seen online, however they wanted a super fast delivery (we usually deliver within 28 days). We explained that the colours may vary slightly owing to the monitor they were viewing the bed on. We also explained the bed was dark brown - which they agreed was the colour they required. On receipt of the bed they were unhappy, however this bed had been ordered specially for them to meet the deadline standards and thus fell outside of our requirement to take it back as part of the cooling off period. They spoke to Mr Pearson regarding their complaint (He is not the sole owner, however he is a senior employee). Representations were made over this to the management team and we were considering refunding or replacing the bed as a goodwill gesture. The bed was never returned to us hence we were unable to either refund or exchange. We genuinely take each customers experience seriously and we feel sorry that this customer was not happy with their item, or the service that they received from us. However we would like to point out our system shows over 10 separate calls to the customer PRIOR to purchase, where we confirmed every detail and specification to the customer to ensure they were 110% happy. We note that this review is written by the customers partner and not the customer themselves hence this attention to detail by our staff has not been noted.
