On-line Theft!
La Provence kept $119.00 (Cdn) after I ordered a Lampe Berger lamp from them on January 7, 2013. I didn't receive the lamp and contacted them on April 18, 2013. They said it had been shipped by Royal Mail and I was given a tracking number. I checked the tracking number and it said delivery was attempted unsuccessfully. As I had not received any notification of such a delivery, I checked with our mail delivery system (Canada Post) and was told that no attempt was made and they had no record of the item. After contacting La Provence, I was told that because I had not contacted them within 30 days of shipping there was nothing they could do and they kept my money! They did not look into when, where and by whom the delivery attempt was made and did not care that the "apparent" delivery was not successful and clearly I had not received the lamp. When I posted my situation on their Facebook page, they deleted it and blocked me. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with!
