Paid Never Got

My Wife paid this Company £1,250 Pounds for our 44 wedding Anniversary present for me I am very disabled and needed it in a hurry I was told 4-5 weeks and it would be delivered with people able to fix it up and take my old bed away I phone and have written no reply this is the last Time I will ever have to deal with this my wife paid with her card so the bank told her what ever happens they will reimburse her the man saw hove bad I am and he said we will be very quick. Please show this to the whole of the UK.

Terrible !! Check T & C Returning Products Can Cost £6 - £80

When you receive such terrible customer service from a company who's customer base is primarily going to be elderly, disabled or people caring for them, you expect them to be a caring compassionate company. DMD or Care Co are neither of these. I ordered a De Luxe wheely cosy for my elderly disabled mother and was surprised when two arrived. As there was no return instructions or address stickers etc in either parcel I phoned the company for help. I explained the situation and how I wished to return the one they had sent by mistake and exchange the other one for a smaller size. I was initially accused of both orders, one online and one by telephone which I denied any knowledge of the telephone one. When they realised I had indeed not made this phone call, it was in fact an error with their ordering system from their sister company they didn't even apologise, instead they said they would get THEIR MISTAKE collected from my address free of charge but if I wanted to return the one I wished to exchange collected at same time it would cost £25 (they later said this was mistake and should be £15. They refer to this as a restocking fee. I was horrified at this charge but they said I should of read the terms and conditions. I even offered to make both parcels into one parcel to be collected at the same time and they said it was still going to be £15 for my bit. After a lengthy telephone which got us nowhere it has concluded that they will send out returns paperwork and either collect mine for £15 or I send through post office, charge unknown. Will I order smaller one through them ? absolutely not far better companies out there that deserve business.

Most firms charge between 10% and 100% restocking fee. (Laura Ahley online & shops charge 100%). They did not charge for the return that they made mistake for. Returns almost always involve buyer paying returns costs. [ nil to do with Seller, other that I am a very happy customer of an electric wheelchair at very good price from them last year)..

Non Existent Customer Service

If your looking for excellent customer service, avoid this company at all costs. They are obviously great at the initial stages of receiving your order, and of course taking your money, but that I'm afraid is where it ends.

I purchased a mobility scooter for my father, I was told that this particular product was on order, and they would take stock of it mid October. This date passed, phoned Careco, to be told the scooter would come in on the 21st October, this date also came and went. Another phone call to Careco, this time the lady could not even tell me when the scooter would be sent out at all.

In the end, I phoned to get my money back, they said then that a manager would phone the company supplying the scooter direct and get back to me about date of delivery. I'm still waiting.

There customer service is terrible, DO NOT USE THEM

I only wished I had looked at this web site and your review prior to purchasing and cancelling my mobility scooter two weeks ago. The will lie to you. plus use any excuse possible about giving you a refund. Thank god the Credit Card Company are dealing with this issue now.

Thank you to everyone at Careco, I purchased the Go-Go Plus with suspension seat, as we have a folding camper and go on grass quite a lot,this is the most comfortable scooter I have had.Over cobbles in York fine it makes you feel safe and knowing it will go so far with the larger battery is peace of mind in its self.Very good Customer Service.Scooter was delivered very quick. Would Recommend this company.

Roma City Walker Rollator Model 2465

Extremely helpful staff, I made several phone calls - initially regarding a similar item - after discussing the needs of the user, we decided on the Roma City Walker. A further telephone call confirmed that Next Day Delivery was available, which was of considerable importance. This item is for use by a gentleman suffering from Parkinson's Disease, and within 24 hours had proved its worth. It cannot prevent the "freezing" caused by Parkinson's, but it provides extremely good support during those moments but equally moves on smoothly again when required. Easy folding/unfolding system, which is good for storage at home or in a car and relatively lightweight - tho' would probably need a carer/able bodies person to lift it into a vehicle.

The Recliner Chair That Lasted 4 Months!

I bought a Lars Rise Recliner Chair last October. Within 4 months the leather on one side was showing wear,which got worse by the day. After contacting them they sent a box to pack it up in and send back to the manufacturers.

A few days later they changed their mind and sent an engineer to examine the chair and give a report.

That is the last I have heard from them.

The chair, which cost me £465 is in the box they supplied,in my garage and they refuse to reply to letters emails or return my phone calls.

So for £465 I have had a chair that lasted 4 months and is now too worn to use.

Do not touch this company with a 20 foot barge pole,they may be cheap but the customer service is abysmal to non-existent and it ends up being costly in the end.

Customer Service Did Not Exist

We were delighted with the speed of delivery and with the look of the Excell All Terrain Self Propelled Wheelchair. On the first trip to our local store, we got from the car park to the front of the store, when the noise from the wheel stopped us. We had only had the wheelchair for one month, but took it back to the car having transferred me to a store one.

It took numerous calls to get through to this company, (most went unanswered), this followed an email on 19 June to advise them the large Wheel Bearing had collapsed. To this day we have not received a reply to any of the emails we sent them. When my husband did get through on the phone, in the belief that it would speed things up, he said he was happy to receive a replacement bearing instead of a complete wheel. He spent some time explaining that it was the large, main wheel that was affected. - A small front wheel bearing came, more time was spent trying to contact someone from this company to advise them that they had sent the wrong one. When he did get through they agreed to send the correct bearing out, which was finally received a full month after the original ignored email to get the correct part. I was without a wheelchair for the that month.

Despite my suggestion that I would be left with requesting a refund under the Sale of Goods Act, DMD has never replied to any emails or instigated any phone calls. They have never contacted us to check whether the wheelchair was repaired.
