I signed up for the men's 5 blade option called The Houdini. The razor arrived on time in a cool black envelope, funny card insert, great poackaging, so far so good.

I had just shaved the morning it arrived so I waited a few days to build up a bit of facial hair to give it a good test run. I have to say I wasnt expecting it to be as smooth of a shave as I got. I figured at £6 a month for 4 cartridges there must be some catch but it was a better shave than the Fusion which I have used the past few years. The only thing I would say was that the handle attachment was a bit cheap, I guess that is where the money is saved but lets be honest we all really just care about the shave being good quality.

I would strongly suggest trying out the close shave society even just for the novelty of having a razor delivered to your door and not having to pay through the teeth for blades.

I like the idea, but frankly the blades are not sharp enough. I use a normal Gillette3 blade and get a much better shave from a blade for many more shaves. These are blunt straight away and I would end up using twice as many blades, so there is no saving at all from signing up.

If the blades were better quality I'd be very happy. They are not good enough.

The barrel they send you is cheap plastic and is not great to reload but this is less of a problem.

The quality of the shave was so good I feel compelled to share the experience.

I signed up to The Close Shave Society because I was intrigued by their video. I was already a subscriber to King Of Shaves Sub so I did not need converting to the concept of a monthly razor blade subscription service.

For as long as I can remember I have baulked at Gillette's ever increasing cost of their blades. £10 for 3 blades that cost a fraction to make left me with the impression I was being ripped off. I thought that the KoS Sub was the way forward. Until now...

The four 5 blade cartridges and handle arrived from The Close Shave Society in good time. The packaging was good and I liked the accmpanying card; a nice touch.

The first shave this morning was as good as -if not better- than any I've experienced.

it's now 7 hours since shaving, and my face still feels smooth and conditioned.

I've cancelled my existing KoS subscription. Sorry KoS.

One cartridge a week will give a quality shave all week, and I'll never have to scrape a dull and overpriced blade across my face again as I try to squeeze every penny out of each cartridge.

I have recently signed up for the womens razor at close shave society. I received it in the post last Monday and used it the next day. Even though it says same quality as leading brands I hve to say it works better than anything I have used before. The best part is it will only cost me £6.50 every two months and I dont even have to go out to buy it. Anyone who is worried about teh quality dont be, better than anything I have used before.

I have not really thought about getting razors sent to me before, in fact it still new to me know, but and it’s a big BUT, what I have seen before is big brands ripping me off to get my razors and razor heads.

What is refreshing here is that The Close Shave Society - have not only come up with the idea of sending the razors to you conveniently, but they have the added bonus of being reasonably priced and they do the job just as well as my Gillette (if the truth be known).

I don't often write these reviews but I was chuffed with how unique these guys were and thought i would give something back :-)
