Impressive selection of whisky, probably the best selection I've seen outside Edinburgh and London.

Unfortunately the staff were rude and pretentious, I won't be returning. I was looking for a decent bottle of 10-12 Islay, but it seemed this was 'beneath' them, and was promptly ignored by the next customer.

I have never really bothered writing a review about a place, I always look at reveiws but never join in, but thats wrong. So here goes - In this cruel hard horrible world, shops hat carve their own niche should be supported and no whisky (and wine for that matter) shop touch the Wright Wine Company in Skipton. Every Saturday I make the easy journey from Manchester to taste, buy and chat about Whisky, both Scotch, and Irish (which is whiskey?), as well as amazing treasures like the indian Amrut whisky. They have a tasting cupboard with over 100 open bottles of whisky to try, they have nearly 1000 whiskies to choose from. Great staff, and really knowledgable. I cant keep away from them.
