I bought 2kg of collar bacon from this company a couple of Duck breasts and 4 packets of sausages. Why (when all I really wanted was the collar bacon) because they have a 25 quid minimum order. To add to this the charge 6 odd quid for shipping. So unless you're thinking of punting 31 or so quid you won't be doing business.

So how was it./ The Sausages were great, herbed and spiced to perfection (I bought the classic) thin skinned succulent and solid. (if a tad overpriced). The collar bacon is cut to thin is oversmoked and way too cured (salty). The Duck breasts would have been better if they'd been plucked properly.

Buy the sausage (I thoroughly reccomend it). You'll get better collar bacon and better duck breasts. However you probably wont get them cheaper.

Service is important and they are up there at the top of the league. Nothing is too much trouble, they will cut, wrap, tie and prepare the meat properly. Even if that does mean pounding the suet flat on the block. Their knowledge of their stock is superb, meaning that if the sausages you want are not available fresh, they may well be in the freezer and they will go and get them.

The staff are friendly, chatty, they know their craft (and it is a craft) well, you feel like nothing is too much trouble. Their prices are competitive, certainly cheaper than not so supermarkets and the quality is just so much better.
