Awful And Doesn't Seem Safe
Owner was rude when I spoke to him. The sales team were polite but when I asked a question I didn't know the owner sounded like he just took the phone from the person. I was asking about the burgers, and they say they get the meat from abroad frozen, defrost it (Apparently safely) form their burgers and then refreeze it. I know someone who ordered from them and the order came mostly defrosted, and they were told it's fine to refreeze. It's insane that the owner thinks it's safe to freeze meat, defrost it, freeze it again, defrost it and then refreeze. That doesn't sound safe to me.

Water Buffalo
I wanted to order some Ostrich steaks but the website showed them to be "sold out", so I ordered some Water Buffalo steaks instead. They were not shown as sold out. When the order arrived there were no Water Buffalo steaks in the package, these had been replaced with Zebra. There was no consultation with me about this. When I contacted them about it, their reply was as follows:
"If you would go on the website and check “ TERMS OF US” you will find in the second paragraph that in the case of not having one product in stock, we can swap with something similar .."
However I repeat that the Water Buffalo were not shown as being "sold out" on the website, so I think the website is misleading, and misrepresenting the stock status of this item. Even today, nearly a week later, the Water Buffalo is still not shown as sold out. You could order Water Buffalo today- or anything else for all I know - with no assurance that they have actually got it in stock, and you will get something else instead.
A poor response. The best thing they could do, if an item is out of stock, is to contact the customer and offer us the option of a replacement product or a refund before they send the package out. But they don't.
I won't order anything else from them in the future.

Ordered frogs legs. Details taken, payment card details taken.. Product failed to be delivered when specified. I phoned to ask about the order and no trace of it. Clearly if you phone late on Friday afternoon, your order is not processed and forgotten about. Was taking these to NI as a treat .... Refused to post to NI and now I go empty handed!
Very poor service! Will not recommended will source elsewhere in future!
Gift Rip Off
I received a "gift" of an Osgrow voucher. This proved impossible to redeem using the Osgrow website. After wasting a lot of time trying to work out how to use the voucher I send a mail asking the goods to be sent and providing the voucher code for them to redeem.
The goods arrived a couple of days later.
I though nothing more of it until I received a mail demanding payment. I explained the situation and they still insisted that I pay with the voucher (that doesn't work) or pay again for the goods.
After a couple more e-mail exchanges Osgrow are threatening to place the case with their Solicitors.
Terrible customer service and a "gift" voucher system that doesn't work.
Steer well clear!

Rang regarding meats - staff had no knowledge of meat - I waited 2 days for a call back as to stock - in the end went somewhere else stay clear

Full Of Msg And Other Junk
Delivery, packaging and speed of arrival were all excellent.
The burgers and sausages however were full of 'E numbers' such as MSG and various others. Wheat flour was also used as the binder which is a problem for some and was not clearly labelled on the site.
The sausages and burgers both gave me a mild headache and so I would not recommend them.
The unprocessed steaks were pretty good though.

Saved Our Bacon When We Were Let Down By Someone Else
I originally ordered meat from exoticmeats.co.uk, but was let down severly by them. Through the great customer service of OsGrow we managed to get replacements in time for the required event. Their meat is fantastically packaged, delivered beautifully and they provide a wonderful range. I would really recommend them, and I can't think of anything negative to say.
I placed the order on Thursday 9th August around 12pm and the meat was delivered by 2pm the following day - and even with 4 telephone calls to their head office they didn't mind all my questions. Their emails also kept me well-informed of order progress.
