I recently ordered flowers (orchids) and Taj lunch vouchers (about Rs 4500 in all) for my sister's birthday. I placed the order online on a Friday and the Birthday was on a Sunday.

I got an order confirmation from the payment processor (CCNow) saying the order had been placed but the merchant's name in the email was "Apex flower mart" and the email id was [email protected]. I found that strange but didn't think too much about it.

On Saturday I received an email,again from CCNow saying the order had been dispatched so I was quite hopeful. By Sunday evening my sister (who lives in Thane) hadn't received the flowers or the vouchers. I tried calling Amchiemumbai.com's customer service number and a woman answered and then hung up when I said I wanted to track an order. There is no online order tracking facility either. I then tried contacting the flower merchant (Apex flower mart) this time the phone was answered but the lady who answered said she couldn't help at that time but she would check and let me know.

Ultimately the gifts arrived two days late (not a late but what's the point of it reaching late when the occasion is over?). My sister told me that she was called by the delivery man asking for directions from the station to her place and whether there were buses running to her colony etc.

So - to summarise -

1. The order was late even though they claim it will be delivered on the same day.

2. The email confirmation was unclear as the order seemed to go to Apex flower mart. Why should it go to anyone other than Amchiemumbai.com?

3. The customer service person hung up on me

4. No order tracking facility online or courier tracking.

5. Unprofessional behaviour by the delivery guy.

Will not be using them again and would suggest you don't either.
