My advice is simple. DO NOT USE THIS RETAILER.

I placed my order with A1 Gifts as they guaranteed next day deliver if you ordered before 4pm. I then get a call at around 5pm to say that they didn't process my order in time and so I would not be receiving my package the next day. That was therefore too late and it meant I didn't have a gift for an occasion. Whilst discussing my complaint, it became clear that they had to check certain orders with customers as they obviously have issues with specific orders/packages, and that this is not a rare issue. It also became clear that packages can go backwards and forwards between them as the retailer and the customer before the customer may actually receive the package.

The cap it all off, I spoke to the owner of the company, and they point blank refused to fulfill their guarantee by making arrangements to have the package delivered that day. In my mind, if the owner, who has ultimate power and freedom to think outside the box and take action to ensure that a customer is satisfied, does not care whether the service their company offers is up to today's standards then I would think carefully about whether I wanted to deal with them in the first place. Its just no where near good enough.

I ordered a gift for my parents 40th anniversay as a1gifts have a great selection. The website stated order by 1pm for same day dispatch, I did this and received a confirmation email and then a follow up email several hours later to state that my item was shipped.

A week later and my item has not arrived. I phoned a1gifts to be told that it was being dispatched that day (a full 5 days AFTER I received confirmation that it had shipped!). They said they had no idea why I had received a email stating that my item was shipped, they also failed to inform me that same day dispatch would not be available. I checked my order status online several times and it also stated the item was dispatched when I now know that it was not. This is inaccurate and not acceptable - had I known in advance that my item would not be shipped for 5 days I'd have ordered elsewhere as the gift is now very late and my folks special day has passed (giftless!!). I'll never order from them again. A total disaster and I'm so upset to have had no gift for my parents on their special day.

Order placed online, website crashed on payment screen. I did not receive any confirmation so assumed ordered had not gone through so I ordered elsewhere. When checked bank statement I noticed had been charged so immediately contacted company and explained situation . They would not provide a refund even though I still have not relieved a confirmation . Would never use again !

Paid extra for GUARANTEED next day delivery on personalised item. Site said on ordering, that delivery guaranteed before 1.00pm next day. Arrived three days later - site would not take responsibly or refund as gift was personalised. Gift now no good to me. Waste of money. Would NEVER use again. Not my fault they have unreliable info on their site.

I'd just come across this gift site to buy gifts for my parents who are are approaching a ruby wedding anniversary this month and I'd stumbled upon a unique list of items meant for the man and wife who have celebrated togetherness for an entire 40 years time. I was surprised by the site's offerings. Thank you A1gifts.

I've been looking online recently for gifts to give this Christmas as everyone seems to be shopping online these days. I can't tell you how much I am delighted with the service given. I spoke via a1gifts's live help and they helped me with my search for a couple of gifts and even gave me some suggestions.

The prices were as you would expect and some were a lot lower than found anywhere else. Delivery took 2 days to arrive to my door and the wine I ordered came on it's own as stated in their despatch email arrived the day after.

I can't fault a1gifts and their service and thought their website was easy to navigate. I have recommended my friends and family!
