I never believed people when they told me Hawaii companies treat mainland customers poorly. It's sad.

They shipped my Mother's Day flowers 4 days late - charging me extra for express shipping - and then a salesperson named Crystal argued in email that they actually shipped correctly per their shipping policy.

So basically, they charged me $21 for express shipping on a $58 order and shipped it normally. They offered no refund - just a recommendation to ship 1-2 weeks earlier next time and modify the way I enter my future orders to override their automated system.

Other sites would contact a customer if there was confusion on a Mother's Day shipment. I lived in Hawaii for 8 years, went to school at UH, and have family on the Big Island. I never believed mainland people when they told me Hawaiian businesses treated them poorly. Now I understand.

I will not go back to this company.

Do not fall for this site. They show beautiful pictures of flowers online and then substitute them with much cheaper flowers with no similarity to the picture online. I paid for a Deluxe Bouquet with 12 proteas and was sent an arrangement without any proteas. When you call customer service....they argue with you about your order and do not care one bit about your satisfaction. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE!! If this site allowed it I would give them 0 stars instead of 1.

I wish I would have read these other reviews about Hawaiian Tropical Flowers first. The company missed a shipping deadline after we had back and forth emails on the delivery date and I confirmed with them paying for a shipping upgrade. They didn't even ship until i contacted them after valentines day to complain it had not arrived. Their site even showed valentines day delivery available until the day before.

I ordered a food package for Mother's Day 2008. I waited patiently for an email that said order was being processed, order to be delivered, order has been delivered - but I received nothing. I emailed the company. They said that the order number I had originally received via email from their website was not from their system....however, they had charged me for the items even though they claimed I didn't make an order through their website. Then I received no response/s after that....I simply asked for verification that something had been sent out because I had clearly paid for something (based on my credit card charge) - I have not received a response yet. Worst experience with an internet based company ever I have ever had.

www.hawaiian-tropical-flowers.com - I wanted to take the time to write to express my utmost disappointment with the orchid blooms I received from this company. I ordered orchids to use them in a bridal show, so it was essential to receive them right before the show. We needed to use them the day they were delivered, so even though they have a satisfaction guarantee a replacement wouldn't have worked.Some of the blooms had a brown sticky film, and were almost wilting. So instead of setting up for the show early I decided to wait, so that I could follow the instructions that came with them and refrigerate them hoping they would come back to life. Setting up the day of the show set us back an hour which was frustrating, and then after all the hard work to set it up by the end of the first day of the show the orchids were wilted and were starting to shrivel. We had to throw away all the orchids, and had no other replacement for the second day of the show. The orchids were a visible part of our booths decor. I would never use this company again, and I chose this company based on their reviews. Seemingly, they only chose the best ones, this is why I took the time to write this review.

I would never use this company again! I go to Hawaii every year, and one year I brought back leis for a birthday four days before they had to use them and they were in better condition then the orchids I received for this Bridal Show that was sent two day delivery. I think it's a shame that a business would even send flowers in that quality and condition, especially when your products are a reflection of your business.

The quality of the flowers from Hawaiian-Tropical-Flowers was very good and delivered on time. Unfortunately, it was not what I ordered so I could not use them.

I have seen other websites where they specify the availability of items, which I think is essential when ordering flowers.

Based on the lack of customer service and not being able to know what item you are ordering, I would not recommend this we site.
