You won't get what you ordered - AVOID

I usually read reviews before ordering online. Except for this one time, I was stressed and upset because my older sister was taken to hospital a long way from me. So I ordered flowers from one of Bloomex's affiliated online shops.

I bought a small bunch of flowers for my sister who was in hospital 4000 miles away. I wrote a message to go with the flowers on delivery.

First the order showed as "confirmed" until Saturday.

The flowers were supposed to be delivered Wednesday, I was told in an email Saturday that they were delivered on Thursday morning.

But Thursday evening (afternoon their time) I phoned and was told that the flowers were still processing and were going to be shipped. I asked for the order to be canceled and for a refund to be issued, that was refused.

On Saturday, I found out from a family member that the flowers had arrived with no card, so my sister didn't know who they were from, most the flowers were dead on arrival, so she put most in the bin. She only kept two white roses which were already looking sad by Saturday, I can't understand how this company is still in business, the service is shocking, customer service useless, emails are just automated emails, and the quality of flowers is abysmal.

Today I got a reply to my complaint and refund request which obviously they refused and offered me a discount in store, when they can see from my billing address that I am several thousand miles away from them.

The reason theyy won't refund is

" In compliance with our policy, we unfortunately cannot refund orders after they have been prepared and shipped out for delivery"

I have requested to cancel the order and issue a refunnd before the order was prepared and shipped.

"As stated in our policy, we accept quality and composition-related complaints within 24 hours from the delivery date due to the perishable nature of our products."

I could not complain about the state of the goods within 24 hours of delivery because I got no updates of delivery (9th september 11am) until saturday the 13th late at night UK time, but also, when I phoned customer services, on the 9th of september, 5 hours after the parcel was delivered, I was informed that the parcel was not shipped yet but would be delivered by end of day and that as they were still within their window of delivery they would not cancel or refund.

Additionally, as they didn;t include my message, my sister had no idea who the flowers were from so I could not contact them within 24 hours of delivery.

How can they justify charging over $60 for 2 tired roses and fill out the bunch with dead flowers and not put a note with who sent these? I want a refund.

Lesson learned: Support small local businesses and read reviews before shopping

Horrible Product/company

Just check Google reviews. Every one of them are just the worst of any product,any company,I have ever seen. Owner out of Ottawa is gaslighting one excuse after another. people order,spend a fortune and either nothing shows up,super late delivery (like 10 days later,despite promises of 1 or 2 days),and customer service folks are just brutal.overseas,with language difficulties. My daughter ordered a bouquet for me on Dec 20.product. was produced in the province of Nova Scotia. I live in the next province...new Brunswick! Item arrived Jan 4,product was rotting profusely. I sent photos to email provided. Nothing in terms of feedback,save for an AI generated 20.00 credit! Outrageous! I'm sure she spent over 150.00 for these! I should have had her check google reviews...I rest my case.

If I could give zero stars I would, stay away from this company, order white peace lilies due to death in family, yellow was delivered…was sent an email that they were substituting yellow at 8:27 and then 5 min later it was out for delivery, literally zero chance to change. After 4 phone called (3 hung up on without saying anything) I was offered a basket or new set of flowers….this is after the fact of the funeral and not acceptable…was not looking for refund, resend or anything else…refused them…why ask for phone number if you don’t call….terrible and useless company…do not order from them.

They Replaced Flowers With Cookies

Why oh why would a flower company replace flowers with cookies?? I knew they might not send the exact bouquet of flowers I selected from the online photos… but to substitute part of the order with random cookies? I can send cookies through Amazon if I wanted to do that! My friend might be allergic to coconut cookies! Or perhaps she’s a diabetic?! Or a person who just doesn’t care for coconut cookies! I was so upset to find out she received a tiny bouquet and random cookies on the side. Bloomex has only offer to credit me $30. I spent at least $80. I’m not pleased and I will never be ordering with them again.

Also, their phone number wouldn’t work and when I emailed that I wanted to speak to somebody in coustomer service, they never complied. Terrible service.

Buyer Beware: Bloomex Misrepresets Their Products

I don't like to leave negative reviews but this company messed with me when my first physical attempt to reach out to my grieving friend and they had 0 care or respect for the situation.

My friend's father passed away just days before his birthday - for which I already, in good time ordered a supersized contemporary bouquet, to be sent to him.

Initially I had a GOOD impression of bloomex as they were very responsive when I asked them to change the card message from Happy Birthday, to one of condolence, them doing this so swiftly lulled me into the false impression that they were a responsive and considerate company making this amendment for me at what is an awful time for a person to go through.

I really wanted it to be a beautiful and heartfelt gesture during a difficult time. Unfortunately, Bloomex fell short on every level.

The bouquet delivered looked NOTHING like the vibrant, plentiful, contemporary arrangement pictured on the Bloomex website. It lacked the fullness and elegance advertised, and it lacked the "significantly more impressive and contain more blooms than the Deluxe Bouquet", as mentioned on their site, and what was sent was a pale imitation of what I paid for.

To add insult to injury, the sympathy message for my friend was scrawled on the back of a coupon. This lack of attention to detail was insensitive and unprofessional.

I specifically chose a "Supersized" bouquet, promised on the Bloomex website to be "significantly more impressive" with "more blooms." In reality, I received a paltry collection of flowers. While some variation from the online image is understandable, this arrangement lacked the promised volume and contemporary style. It was also missing the advertised wrapping – "natural craft paper and trendy rafia." What they sent was enough to fill a JAM JAR.

This experience caused significant embarrassment. I wanted to express my condolences in a thoughtful way, but instead, I felt responsible for delivering a subpar offering. The blatant discrepancy between Bloomex's online presentation and their actual service is deeply disappointing.

Potential customers deserve to be aware of the significant gap between Bloomex's promises and their actual service.

Furthermore, due to the significant misrepresentation of the product, I have filed a complaint with my credit card company. The delivered flowers did not remotely match the description, constituting a case of misleading advertising.

I strongly advise against using Bloomex for your flower needs. Look elsewhere for a florist who delivers on their promises and treats customers with respect, especially during sensitive occasions.

When I wrote to bloomex to complain, I attached several images and they had the nerve to ask me to send pictures - so clearly they can't read an email very well either. I really wish I could upload images here so you can all see for yourselves just how appalling the flowers were compared to what I was led to believe I was ordering/paying for.

BE SURE TO COMPLAIN TO YOUR BANK ESPECIALLY IF YOU PAID VIA CREDIT CARD.

UPDATE:

Bloomex replied to me saying I was mistaken for interpreting MORE BLOOMs as more stems - so the question begs, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STEM AND A BLOOM? It's a total joke, they're being obtuse and deceptive and expect me to take store credit when I live in the UK and my friend is in Canada - what do they want? For my friends other parent to die so I can embarrass myself again by getting shoddy flowers from their business? I don't think so.

Truly Hooooorrrrible Business

This is a truly hooooorrrrible business! I ordered a flower package for my mom for her retirement. I had placed the order a month in advance. I called the store to double check the information they had to make sure the flowers were going to be delivered to the correct address and person. The information they had repeated back to me was correct. Somehow somewhere, the delivery got messed up. Something about curier couldn't find the address, therefore the flowers did not get delivered. This was on a friday. I was told that apparently, they didn't deliver on the weekend so i had to wait until monday for the flowers to be resent. End of day monday, the flowers still haven't been delivered. At this point, i was fuming mad!!! I demanded a refund at once. The agent said to me that they don't do refunds. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor confirm that they absolutely do not do refunds. The manager rubs it my face that their policies regarding refunds are conveniently located on their website.. I was really going to lose my cool, so i hung up the call. I then wrote an email explain discontent. The manager still expressed that they can not offer me a refund, they said the best they can do is offer to resend the package with fresh flowers to a different address. I got the idea to send them to my mom for mothers day. Against my better judgment, i reschedule the delivery to a different address and a new date. I also made sure to give them an alternate phone number and contact person. Well they still somehow messed up the delivery. My mom again, did not receive her flowers for the third time now. And they still won’t refund me. I am talking $80+, just gone. Absolutely horrible, terrible business.

Do Not Order

I ordered funeral flowers March 26 and they did not get delivered. I received an email on April 10 saying the flowers were ready for pickup at the warehouse. I called Bloomex and have been getting the run around for over a month. No refund and they keep saying someone will call but they never do. No resolution still and it’s been a month. The email I received from the delivery company was that the arrangement I picked was too expensive for them to deliver as they are given a set rate. This is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with!! Once I googled them I realized it’s common practice for them. Wish I would have done this before.
