Ordered 'NEW' Blu-ray, it will be the first and last time I do.

FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU, FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME!

I did research WOWHD for reviews beforehand and was concerned with some of the feedback but I really wanted this film and it was cheaper than ordering through ebayuk, now I know why!

Item arrived in about 11 days in an undamaged adequate thin'ish brown ribbed package, not as good as a padded envelope imo.

Blu-ray was shrink wrapped. Upon opening the transparent outer sleeve is totally wrinkled, looks terrible, something I've never experienced with shrink wrapped Blu-rays from UK retailers.

At the bottom of the spine some of the plastic has snapped off.

Now baring in mind this was sealed but there is no broken plastic to be found, very suspicious.

Now I notice the paper cover is protruding out quite a bit above the transparent sleeve. The front top edge of the paper cover has several small tears and scuffs. The disc itself has a finger mark on it, though does play ok.

Do they expect customers to believe this is 'NEW' and not 'USED' and re-sealed?

I contacted WOWzersHolyDishonest letting them know my thoughts attaching several photo's. I informed them I will be leaving feedback across the web if the matter was not resolved to my satsifaction.

They replied within 24-48hrs offering me a measly 10% refund for the Blu-ray case damage or I can return it to the USA address given for an exchange or full refund.

They do not even acknowledge or mention the small tears to the paper cover or that I have been sent a 'USED' item even if in error!

Now there is no way I am going to returm the item at my own risk which could go missing in the postal system, I would have to pay the postage and it would take up to 2 weeks or 4 weeks for an exchange to arrive. NOT WORTH MORE AGGRAVATION, WASTED ENOUGH OF TIME AS IT IS.

Under protest I reluctantly accepted the measly 10% refund.

LET THIS BE A WARNING TO OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.

Rude, Patronising And Poor Service!

I ordered 2 cds for my husband for Christmas on the 7th December, having had good speedy service from them in the past. I had an email from them stating that delivery would be in 8 to 15 days (just days, not working days), with a DHL tracking number. I tried to track the package later but it turned out the number was not a genuine DHL number as it was too short, so they lied about that.

I contacted them and was told I would only have a tracking number if I'd paid for expedited shipping, and now they said delivery time was 10 to 20 business days, possibly up to 45!

I then made the mistake of thinking that if I placed the order with Amazon I'd be able to return the Wow order for a refund when it finally arrived as it was too late for Christmas. It arrived yesterday, the 28th December.

BUT, they have informed me that the return address is in America, and they expect me to pay for the return postage, which will be more than the cost of the cds.

This is what they said; "We regret to inform you that any return would be at your expense. Furthermore you were not misled you simply did not read all the information provided before placing your order may this be a learning experience. In the future when dealing with any company read the shipping and delivery portion or if in a hurry to get order upgrade your shipping to expedite so it get there in a timely matter."

They have a UK website but they don't appear to actually do anything as the order was sent from abroad.

Needless to say I won't be using them again! I was trying to support them rather than order from Amazon.

Still Waiting After 2 Months

Ordered 2 DVDs ('House Of Cards' Seasons 1&2 so not too obscure) 20th April 2015. Both were listed as being 'In Stock' at the time and payment was taken immediately from my credit card. The order status is now listed as 'Backorder' whatever that means and they have still not arrived 2 months later. Lured in by a cheapish price .... never again!!! Should have stuck with Amazon.

Avoid Like The Plague

This site sells CD's DVD's etc. it formerly traded as CDWOW. See it's appalling record on here. It is pointless trying to leave reviews on its own site ( all reviews shown are 3 years old). I ordered a CD on 14/02/15 as of 02/04/15 it has still not arrived. I have had to take out a dispute with Paypal. Seven weeks have passed since they took payment but no CD ever arrived.

This company is based in Australia, although it appears to be a UK based company on its website. Delivery it says can take 7 to 10 days. The item I ordered was a pre-order, on the day of its release the HDWOW website said it was awaiting stock! Five days after release they emailed to say my item had been despatched. It never came. Avoid this company the prices are cheap for a reason. The name change and lack of recent feedback on its site are for a reason.
