I have never dealt with a company that provides such responsive and personal feedback and service if something goes wrong. A real pleasure to deal with.

Lovely range of unusual products. And while they might not always be the quickest to ship (I'm pretty sure they're still a very small company), their customer service is second to none.

Definitely well recommended. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Geeks to my alien mother in law from Uranus!

An Aim Of Good Service, But Not Quite Enough This Time

I ordered an item from this site as a Christmas gift after stumbling across it from a Google search.

Although they do not have the largest selection of items what they do have is all very interesting and I prefer to use independent suppliers where possible, thus my reason for buying from them. I ordered my item with what should have been enough time to arrive before Christmas (Dec 12th); however unfortunately the item disappeared into the postal service.

This is not thegeekestlink's fault and their response to my query (Dec 24th) about the missing item was very good initially. Offering to send a replacement, which I emailed back to ask them to do. That is where things fell down a little. I had no response, to my acceptance, from the store so checked their site on Dec 27th to find a notice stating that they were now closed and would not be dispatching any items or even responding to emails or queries due to how busy they had been over the previous weeks, until Jan 2nd.

If I had been advised of this either in the email they sent on the 24th then I could have made alternative arrangements as I was now stuck waiting until the 2nd to be able to follow up with them. I'd have thought that a retailer would want to capitalize on the whole festive season (and shift some more stock after the main event) which I'm sure many other small businesses did, but in this case apparently not.

It is a shame that, as of the 2nd, my replacement item has not yet been dispatched to me due to further confusion at their end. Meaning that I still have no gift to give and have now decided to use an alternative supplier. I may well use this site again, but it would definitely be with trepidation.
