Charged Double The Aerial Fitter Said
I am 75 and cannot climb ladders even though this simple job was replacing an Aerial on my Bungalow with a new one. Bought a new Hi Gain one for friend to erect but he couldn't do it in time so I called this Company via a Local Fitters telephone on the Net. A young Lady in Glasgow arranged a visit but didn't give an estimate of pricing.
An Aerial Fitter from Swansea arrived and I told him that the old Aerial needed replacing with the one being supplied by me. He said ok and I asked how much? He said £50 + Vat the normal call out charge, which seemed to be reasonable. He was polite did the job and I paid with my Credit Card as he didn't accept cash which I thought was a little odd.
However I received my Credit Card Bill to see it was £120 twice what I was told.
I contacted them on line and was told they would log my complaint and forward to Customer Services who would contact me in 2-3 days. They have not contacted me sent an Invoice or receipt, Leave them well alone.

the aerial ins taller was very polite,friendly,but very professional with great knowledge of the problems it could be he checked the recempton with a electronic tester could see that it was below par.h e then inspected the aerial and cables it was the cable that was at exposed because aerial was 20 years we decided to have new aerial fitted whitch he did very well, we give 10 out of 10 for his work. This Company Is On Watchdog! Do Not Use!!!
Bad service.
They came and wall mounted my TV. It was falling of the wall the next day taking my wall with it! They refused to refund me or accept responsibility. DO NOT USE THEM! There are reputable companies out there that will go the job properly and saftely.
They have changed company names many times! Just go to the watchdog website and you will see the destruction this company causes!!!

Extremely Prompt Service And Reliable Engineers
I called TV aerial Company early on Monday and they visited me the same day approximately 4 hours later which was much sooner than I anticipated. The engineer spent quite a long time analysing my signal problem and had to gain access to the aerial on my roof which was extremely difficult to access due to hedges and the location of my property on the end of the village. I was a little concerned that the time he spent analysing was building up the overall cost. He was with me for around three hours in all. He eventually spoke to me and gave me a written estimate of the work that he needed to do to provide me with a reasonable picture and also gave me some info that I had asked for on the freeview satellite service which he also services. Once he had finished his survey he explained in great detail why I needed the products that he was recommending which was a power supply unit and a high gain amplifier and new cable from the aerial. A lot of the outside work he did on the roof was whilst it was raining, not hard but still not very pleasant. He completed the work and left me with a very good picture but advised that I was in an extremely poor signal area so may at some stage have to consider the Satellite service but in the interest of my economy should he felt that, at the moment, I should persevere with the terrestrial aerial system.
He was an extremely diligent engineer and certainly knew his job. In the end the cost of the repairs was not at all unreasonable, bearing in mind he was with me for three and a half hours, and he did not stop at all during that period.
I would happily recommend this company for aerial/signal problems.

Broken After 5 Months - Avoid At All Costs!
We found one of our 2 aerial bolts had come out. Unfortunately our dependable and reliable local guy wasn't available so after seeing a lot of favourable reviews I called the TV Aerial Company who sent an engineer out to fix it, which cost £50.
Now, just less than 5 months later the new bolt that was put in to secure the aerial to our brick wall has broken / come loose and so the aerial is once again hanging at 45 degrees.
When I called the TV Aerial Company to complain I was told that since we hadn't bought a new aerial from them this work had no warranty and we would need to pay another £50 for a new appointment. Apparently they will only remedy such work if you call to complain within 2 weeks.
I was astonished, but they weren't interested in anything I had to say - only to try and book a new appointment and get another £50 from me.
Avoid them at all costs!
