For a while I thought Think Tech we're crooks, but it turns out they are just an extremely disorganised company...

I ordered a record box that never arrived. Every time I rang they told me they'd ring back, and make up an excuse. I never received any calls back. A lot of my time was wasted dealing with their complete ineptitude. Eventually they came up with a highly unconvincing ' it must have been lost in the post - let me get back to you'.

Another week passed, and I wrote them an email stating my dissatisfaction and rang them to find out what the f*** was going on. They eventually send out another record box which was of inferior quality and holds 50 instead of the 80 I ordered. I have decided to count my losses and not waste any more time on them. Avoid at all costs! I am surprised they are still in business!

I gave Prosound one star but to be honest that's generous. I've had nothing but trouble with this company. It's now known as Think-tech as one or more of the Pro-sound companies went into liquidation, which they seem to think is an excuse for poor customer service. I took a my son's Acme DMX scanner back, it took me 6 weeks to get instruction from them what to do, and then even though I had contacted them well within the guarantee period,they charged me for repair. (The repair was LEDs not working - well within the expected length of time.) They charged me because I couldn't get it back to them within 2 weeks of their eventual reply - even though it was bad weather up to Xmas and I live 30 miles away. They knew the situation and gave me no instruction regarding the guarantee - 'bring it in and we'll sort it out' - exact words. Then after they'd had it for 3 weeks, they informed me it wasn't under guarantee so they wouldn't offer a free repair - even under the sale of goods act as Pro-Sound had gone into liquidation in 2010 - a fact they didn't tell me until pushed. They messed me about good and proper, I think more so because I dared to complain at their messing me about. Good customer service would have been to apologise for the poor communication they offered, and agree to a free repair. As it was, after waiting for them to let us know exactly how much the repair was if we picked it up (more than 3 weeks despite my phone calls and email) we picked it up and they charged us £24 for the repair. Even this amount was going back on the price they had originally offered me. And no apology. Then to add insult to injury, they didn't replace the mains lead in the box - we discovered on getting it home. Then they had the cheek to wonder aloud if it had been in the box when I took it back!! Would I go to so much trouble if it wasn't? Unbelievable. They agreed to send me one out - watch this space - let's see if it arrives. No wonder they've had companies go into liquidation - they've obviously learnt nothing. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. My son has more money to spend on equipment but I will never consider going back to Pro-sound/Thinktech. They might have changed the name, but the reputation it seems has not. Mighty quick to take our money off us in the first place, shame the aftercare doesn't match.

I paid this company for 2x Turbosound Subwoofers.

Waited several months, chased up and every time I called no-one was able to help me.

Took this to my solicitor, then to the courts and eventually was able to get a full refund, 19months laters.

Do not trust this company, do not buy anything from them!

The company took the money and sent the wrong bit of kit. I sent it back and over a week left five messages for the salesman Clive. No returned calls, no returned emails. Now in hands of courts.

Not sure whether this might be blatant dishonesty, cashflow problems or simple disorganisation. Whatever, I would advise caution if you are thinking of getting involved.

Firstly I am not a DJ. I run 3 bands with a small pool of very talented and versatile musicians. Now I got sick of having to buy new baskets for my Black widow speakers (7 IN TWO YEARS!) and decided it was time to get serious about my live sound. I called the usual muso shops for a price on 2 x TXD151 & 2x TXD 118 Turbosound speakers and a QSC 2450 amp but by far the best price I got was from Pro sound DJ. First gig was scary, We were running our sound through a Mackie CFX12 desk, all the EQ was flat as a pancake but the difference in sound quality was unbelievable! At the next gig I put a Behringer 3102 graphic between the desk and amp to fine tune the sound and It was awesome!!!

My guitar player made a remark that for me at least summed up my investment when he said "thats you mate, you'll not need another new PA for at least 20 years".

So when you're ready to get serious about your live sound DJ, Or band Look no further!!!
