Hi, I'm collating information from everyone thats been scammed by Neil Vincent (Electrouk). I reported him to Action Fraud back in December, the website was temporarily close down, however, its now back up and running. I want to stop him from scamming any more people by reporting all incidents I can collect to Action Fraud and the press.

I bought a printer for £499.99 back in November and have received nothing since. Neil Vincent is making a living out of conning people and needs to be stopped. Please e-mail me via [email protected] with your purchase details - date, cost, correspondence with Electrouk and police incident number if you have reported it already.

Please help me to stop this guy.

Thank you.

Shona.

Action Against Electrouk - Scam Website

I paid £499.99 for a printer back in November 2012 which never arrived despite numerous e-mails, as yet, I've received no refund. I'm now taking action against [name removed]. If you would like to add yourself to the list of people thats paid for and not received their goods please drop me an e-mail, with details of the purchase, payment method and date.

I can't promise anything, but by exposing him hopefully we can stop this happening to others. The police are involved, alternatively, if you prefer, please contact Action Fraud. They are open on weekends too. A case is currently open for Electrouk.

No matter how small the payment, if you have not received your goods after 30 days, or a refund 30 days after that, it becomes a criminal offence, so please report the incident.

All the best

Hi, the only way to get your money back from this guy (and he is a one man band) is to send him e-mails explaining he is in breach of trading standards etc, then tell him you will be paying him a visit. If you want his contact details, please get in touch with me via my website. I run a photography company in Sheffield called Maquina photography. All the best.

I have found Action Fraud to be a total waste of time. I too was taken by Electrouk.co.uk to the tune of £223.99 and reported this to Action Fraud. They eventually got back to me after 2 months and said they would not be taking any action; thank you Action Fraud, thank you Suffolk Police, I feel like I've been taken twice. Forget Action Fraud, contact your own local police who may actually do something.

Contact me via ebay (same username) and I'll let you know how I got my money refunded.

Do Not Buy

I tried to buy a printer and naively transferred £499.99 into what turns out to be a private offshore account. Numerous attempts to contact the website owner have met with bounced emails and a wall of silence.

Reported to police, Action Fraud, Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, my bank, and HM Customs and Revenue (VAT being charged illegally). No sign so far that any of these organisations are taking action...

I doubt I will ever see my money again. Go to a reputable trader and never, EVER pay by bank transfer - you have zero options if you get stung.

Hi John

If you look up Maquina Photography in Sheffield you will find me. Please give me a call.

Kind regards

Hi Shona

I'd love to get in touch and combine forces. This character needs to be stopped before he rips off more people who pay for items in good faith. The price wasn't even suspiciously low, the same printer is only about £60 more on Amazon.

Kind regards

John Graham

I am a photographer, based in Sheffield, I bought the same printer from Electrouk on November the 19th 2012. The printer cost £499.99 and was paid for by bank transfer. So far I have had no printer or refund. Bank transfers are not protected and very difficult to get the money back. I'm so sorry to hear you have had the same experience. The account he used at that time was a Halifax account (the police have this information.) His name is (name removed), he lives in Belgium, he has 2 addresses in the UK which he uses, his last internet site was Pronto-store, prior to that tbdol. They were shut down by police. I'm in the process of suing. If you would like to contact me, please do so via the website.

All the best.

Scam - Beware

As all the other cases here, I have been fooled by www.electrouk.co.uk

The payment of £73 for a Cyborg RAT 9 was taken from my account but no product received and no communication back when trying to cancel the order and get a refund.

Initially it seemed to me that they cleverly try to keep costs down by requesting the bank transfers instead of having to pay card processing fees, and that is why why their goods are so competitively priced, but this is the crux of the whole scam, as your bank can't reverse the charges if it's a transfer!!!!

They can do with card payments if you report it as fraudulent.

I have reported this with Suffolk Police and also with the Action Fraud Centre on 03001232040

Hopefully they will be able to shut these guys down before they do more damage.

I did indeed get a letter back from Suffolk police and they said that the offence does not fall within the boudaries of a criminal investigation blah blah. They did however give me his email and home address. Taking a long shot and not expecting a result, I emailed him anyways. Notified him that I have obtained these details from the police after reporting his site. I demanded a refund and threatened further action shall be taken. I included my payment invoice from ElektroUK. He emailed me back 20 mins later apologising for the inconvenience and made an over the counter payment to my account the next day.....shocked but pleased.

Don't bank on Suffolk Police or Action Fraud helping you, I was taken by Electrouk.co.uk for £223.99 on 27/12/2012 and then 2 months later was contacted by Suffolk Police to say they wouldn't be taking any action. I was led to believe that this was the correct way to report fraud?

Refund - One Month Late...

The website is a scam. As mentioned before, one just has to look at the address details - 'Ipswich, Suffolk'. That's it. I paid £127.99 for a monitor which never arrived and foolishly transferred the money to this guy via bank transfer. Despite repeated chasing, the item did not materialise. Spoke to Suffolk Police and Suffolk Trading Standards and I believe they contacted the individual in question and pressurised them to refund the monies. The seller finally refunded the monies to my account after almost a month of chasing.

Do not ever buy from this seller/website and if you have been duped by this individual, KEEP CHASING A REFUND, because if you persist you should get your money back as I did.

Be Patient!

Read Lovattc's response to Guest's Review below, written on 09 Jan. My experience was the same as his.

20 Dec - payment sent; 4 Jan - questioning email sent; 8 Jan - ‘Payment received’; 17 Jan - ‘Order despatched’; 18-20 Jan - lots of snow; 21 Jan - item received in good order.

A month is a long time to wait for a Christmas present for sure, and there was no excuse given, but still at that price ...

Fake Site Do Not Get Burnt

Sadly I did not check the reviews before hand and all my senses were thrown out the window when ordering from this site. Under no circumstances should you ever use a bank transfer for a merchant as it most likely a scam which it is. I lost £154 and can't believe this site is being prominently displayed in search engine shopping results. DO NOT USE THIS SITE AT ALL.
