I had an online account with this company but it now appears that their website-cableuniverse.co.uk no longer exists.

Beware I say.

Having ordered some cables from them, I expected decent service. Oh what a joke in 3 weeks of non communication from them. There was a phone number that didn't work, even tried email through PayPal didn't work reported to PayPal got money back and now see they have vanished. They even managed to change their business address 3 times in 3 weeks. They had a different web address over the door of some back street address in Plymouth which is just as bad. Was quicker and easier to use another site with delivery in the stated time from China.

I have been using Cable Universe for years and in the past would always give them 5 starts. Any problems would always be dealt with promptly by phoning them. They have now removed the customer service number from the website and any problems are dealt with via email only. SHOCKING!! I paid for my good weeks ago and they never arrived, they have taken my money and it still shows pending online. They don't reply to my emails so I have no choice but to try and close my account, take my business elsewhere and inform my credit card company to recover the money back.

Best price on the internet. Phoned up looking for advice, due to my own ignorance, they sorted it out and phoned me back as promised. Thanks Andy.

I can't praise these guys enough. I've been using them for bits and bobs for a few years now and they've never let me down. Fast delivery is a part of this but the prices can't be bettered while the quality is exceptional. Support is also spot on - I recently needed a HDMI splitter and cable capable of full HDMI and 3D over a large distance - got email and phone support with them having checked the spec with the supplier to make sure it was up to the job - don't know where else I'd get that - and the bits arrived the following morning with free postage!

Ordered a couple of cables on 25/2. Still waiting on 28/2. Logged into account to see 'order processing'. Call up and told that the cables were not in stock and have now been ordered. Will be delivered on 3/3 in two part shipments. Had I not called this would be even later (if ever).

So my own shipments to clients are now late. Why not advise when ordering that parts not in stock and subject to delay?

Even though the customer support was helpful it does not resolve this problem for the future. Until stock control is live on the site delivery lead times will be unreliable if this is how things work.

I have used Cable Universe several times and have always received first rate service. Recently I ordered a dongle which turned out to be faulty which was NOT their fault. A true test of a company is how they deal with a problem. I'm happy to say it was dealt with in a truly professional manner and I received a swift refund. Now that's what I call old fashion customer service. So well done Cable Universe pity more firms aren't like yours. Thanks again. Ian (Exeter)

Got a new hdmi cable and wall mount from these people for my new LCD tv a few weeks ago, arrived really quick and day early from stated time, sooooo much cheaper than the sheds, ok had to wait a couple of days but guessed saved myself 40 quid!!

Site was simples and paid using my google account, very easy, they use fedex for deliveries and I find them good where we are. quality of items seems to be spot on and would recommend them to my mum!

I spoke to a very helpful young man on the phone called Paul who helped me to choose the right cable for my TV. I wanted to connect a laptop vith HDMI to a TV with HDMI and Paul offered lots of helpful advice and helped me to understand the difference between the cables. I ordered through the website at 3pm on Thursday and it arrived safely with me on the Friday! The cables were all well packaged and worked perfectly. Very pleased with the service and would highly recommend to anyone.

I now always go to cableuniverse when buying cables. They were recomended to me when I was after an ethernet cable for my XBOX360, and I have since visited numerous times for more cables. Delivery is extremely quick, often arriving within 24 hours. Cables are well packaged and good quality. Definitely would recommend cableuniverse.
