Superb Interim Telephone Service From Them Keeping
Superb interim telephone service from them keeping me in touch with my order progress.
Contact call two days before delivery to confirm my specified delivery date and a call just before delivery to confirm I was home. Extra praise for courteous service from delivery men. Would absolutely recommend this supplier.
Absolutely first class, have recommended to others already.
meah, I agree, you must have wrong company. They actually went out of business last year. Unless they are back up and running again even though they owe a lot of us many thousands of pounds!
I think you must have got the wrong company - topappliance went bust in January. No doubt laughing all the way to the bank with £1,200 of my hard earned cash.

I Bought A Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher From E-appli
I bought a Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher from E-Appliances. After waiting 4 months for delivery and the rest of my kitchen completed I decided to speak to E-Appliance/Top Appliance direct as I work in Sheffield. I told them they'd taken payment straight away for the dishwasher and I wanted it now. Don't think that they were very happy with me, (but with all the problems I'd had speaking with them I decided that I'd not go alone!) In the end Neil (the director of E-Appliance/Top Appliance I think) decided that he was unable to offer me the dishwasher I'd ordered, but I could have a free "upgrade" as I'd waited that long. I think that I got the only dishwasher they actually had!! I now see that they've gone out of business.
In My Opinion, I Got Ripped Off For The First Time
In my opinion, I got ripped off for the first time on any online transaction and as far as I know I didn't even get a letter for it.
I Ordered An Integrated Washing Machine On The 22n
I ordered an integrated washing machine on the 22nd September. Ordered over the phone as i was having trouble doing it via the internet. Said would receive an email confirming the order. This did not happen but was given an order date. The day before was given some story about the couriers dropped the machine and they did not have another in stock. Offered me a replacement which would take 3 weeks or my money back. I said i would have my money back (paid by credit card). I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago and they said it was being processed and the money would be returned to my card within the next few days. Obviously this will not happen now. I have received no emails or written confirmation from them at all and when i questioned that i was told they would email confirmation to me, but nothing. I discussed this with my credit card company yesterday as i had my suspicions something was wrong as i could not make contact at all. After reading the other reviews i realise that my suspicions were true. The only reason i used this company was nothing to do with the cost but the fact that they were only one of two companies who had this machine. I have since purchased this machine through the other company with no problems at all. Trust me to choose the wrong one.
For Everyone Out There That, Like Me, Has Ordered
For everyone out there that, like me, has ordered goods from Top Appliance you should note that the Company has now ceased trading due to financial difficulties. Apparently we should hear from the Company's lawyers in due course however if you paid by credit card I would recommend that you contact your credit card company to help you reclaim the money. If you send an email to the admin @ either Top Appliance or E-Appliance (by replying to the delivery/sales confirmation) you should get an email response advising that they have ceased trading as evidence. Also urge you to keep copies of your correspondence with the Company as you will probably need it when making a claim.
I Received An Email Yesterday Saying "e-appliances
I received an Email yesterday saying "E-Appliances Ltd ceased trading on Tuesday 9th October due to financial difficulties. The company is taking legal advice and will contact outstanding creditors in due course."
Unfortunately, I paid by debit card, so that's £475 up the proverbial swanee.
I ordered and paid £475 on the 22nd of March for an integrated washer-dryer, and they promised delivery within 10 days - after so many phone calls and bad customer service, the item was eventually delivered on the 18th of May. Unfortunately, it was damaged - it looked like it had (literally) fallen off the back of the lorry that it came on.
I rang Top Appliance, and they promised "top-priority" delivery of replacement item. After chasing up with many more phone-calls and emails, I was told that they couldn't give a date for delivery - so I asked for a refund on the 14th of July, and they said it would be within 28 days (as in their website rules).
No surprise that the refund never came - more phone calls and emails followed, always with reasons from them surrounding their "PROTX" clearing system that they used, and always promising it'll be with you in 3 - 5, 5 - 7, 7 - 10 working days ...
I said to my wife that I was going to drive over from Blackpool to Sheffield, to sort it out face-to-face - too late, their email arrives on 11/10 to give me the great news.
Some on this review site are worse off than me - but how many more people around the country have been let down over the last few months?
I Ordered A Smeg Fridge Freezer From Top Appliance
I ordered a Smeg Fridge Freezer from Top Appliance on the 30th of June 2007. I was told it was in stock, then two weeks later I was told it was out of stock and would be in stock in another two weeks. This went on and on for another two weeks, and finally I had enough and cancelled the order on the 3rd of September 2007. Then, I was told it will take 28 days before I could have a refund. I waited and waited, and 28 days later, no refund. Then I was told on the 3rd of October that it would be in my credit card account within 48 hours, but it wasn't. Finally, I got in touch with Trading Standards, and I contacted Top Appliances again on the 9th of October, and I was told by email that my money would be refunded with 24 hours. I am still waiting!

I Ordered A Dishwasher From Top Appliance On The 2
I ordered a dishwasher from Top Appliance on the 20th of July 2007, and payment of £325 was taken immediately. I had not received the order 30 days, and they couldn't even tell me when it would be arriving. I cancelled the order on the 22nd of August, and still no refund, despite a lot of phone calls and emails, and a promise of a refund within 28 days. I have now been waiting for 49 days!!
