I Made An Order From Germany In October 2020 For A
I made an order from Germany in October 2020 for aubout 223 USD.
The items got stuck at the customs and they needed some information from the dealer, so I tried to get in contact with the person I dealt with.
As I read in other Forums, it is nearly impossible to get in contact with him if there is a problem, and it was the same thing in my case. No answer over weeks.
So the items were sent back to the shop and this was lasting very long, because the shipping was delayed because of the Corona-Problems.
In January, I started a claim over PayPal, because I wrote several times to ask him, if the package got back to him, because I didn't get any information from the post offices in Germany and USA. Like a little wonder, he answerded the claim and told me, that all this wasn't his fault and that it wasn't right, to start a claim. He hadn't heard nothing from the package and because I don't wanted to be unfair, I thought that I will not pursue the PayPal claim further. That was a big mistake, because a claim over Paypal is the only way to get contact to him.
So in March 9,2021 I got the information from USPS, that the package had been delivered back to The Feather Emporium. Since then i wrote so many E-Mails to the person I dealt with, but never got an answer for a single one of them. For sure I would accept, that the costs for the shipping would not be refunded, but of course I haven't got a single Dollar back, so The Feather Emporium have over 200 USD.
I am very sad about this behavior and it hurts me and my family that the money is gone for nothing.
As I read in many other forums, The Feather Emporium is a good shop, if everything goes fine. But if you have just the smallest problem with your order, you stand alone and never get helped from them. I think the circumstance, that I am from Germany, increases his ignorance.
It's a shame and I wouldn't recommend that shop to any other customer.

I Live In Canada, And Have Been Trying For Over 2
I live in Canada, and have been trying for over 2 months to get the person I dealt with at Feather Emporium,to give me a quote on a Special Order of feathers. I`ve called, several times, I`ve e-mailed, several times. He always says he will do it. He has even said he will do it right away. But I never get my quote. After reading all the stuff I have read today about Feather Emporium, and the person I dealt with, I think I will just order elsewhere. I don`t want to risk losing money. To anyone who is still going to order from him, even after you have read all of this...well if you lose your money, you only have yourself to blame. If everyone stopped ordering from him, then he would be out of business wouldn`t he? To the person who doesn`t agree with the feathers being used for cosmetology purposes - who died and made you GOD. How do you know the feathers weren`t made for hair and not fly tying. What gives you any more right to the feathers than me? To Whiting Farms - why, oh why are you still supplying the person I dealt with, Feather Emporium, with feathers - after all your years of work, you really want a guy like the person I dealt with out there representing your Company?
UPDATE - I finally ended up sending an e-mail to Whiting Farms. Rather that just asking the complaints board why they are allowing him to represent them. Here is their reply: I am sorry for your experience with Feather Emporium. Although this man is selling Whiting Farms products, he is no longer a dealer for us. He has bought thousands of pelts from us in the past and I would guess he still has a large amount of our product to move. We do not have him listed as one of our dealers and we do not encourage anyone to purchase from him. Again, I apologize for any inconveniences.

I Ordered Feathers For Tying Flies On August 12, 2
I ordered feathers for tying flies on August 12, 2016 here it is November 28, 2016 and still waiting for delivery. I have contacted the owner by phone and email with receipts showing my order. He always has some sort of excuse for not delivering. I will not being doing any business with him in the future and would recommend that anyone looking for feathers go elsewhere.
14 Days No Order
Called and explained situation he told me too call back in an hour. No answer and waited then put complaint with PayPal. They make you send messages and then give him 14 days too respond. I wrote him three times in six days. Finally PayPal gave back my money! A strange way to run a business and I was a returning customer!!

I needed 'red game' hackle in a rooster saddle for #10 and#12 so the whiting 'eurohackle' fitted the bill nicely size wise, and on the website..... nice even red game (whiting call it brown) colouring.
What arrived was not what is pictured ! ! ! Nice hackle sizes.. happy me ! Coloration is NOT WHAT IS SHOWN. ! ! ! despite telling the person I dealt with I was looking for a nice Red Game cape, what arrived was a Greenwells Cape.... In fact (2) TWO of them with a beautiful Black Last down the centre.... NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER ! ! !
$130 bucks + international; postage down the swanee !
DON't go near this guy..... you have been warned !

Do not order from this site! The quality is very poor! We order and did not received our order for three weeks, after the owner promise to ship immediately. After, multiple calls and emails we finally received our order. The quality was very poor. We order hair feathers extensions and we got a few feathers with no bond. we will report to the BBB!

Feather Emporium Has A Very Nice Web Site Featurin
Feather Emporium has a very nice web site featuring many Whiting products at reasonable prices. I ordered two Brahma Soft hackles with Chicabou, one black and one copper. The owner sent a black and yellow. I phoned and asked for an excahnge of the yellow one. He said send it back and he's exchange which I did with tracking number. Despite over half a dozen emails, two phone cals, and a Paypal refund request, I have nothing after a month. Phone calls are no longer answered. Guess my caller id allows him to not pick up. Upon reading reviews, many others seem to have had a similar experience. Wish I had done a search for reviews before ordering.
I'm writing Whiting informing them that they have a very unethical dealer and hope others with a similar experience will do the same.

The advisor is a rip off artist. My second order has still not been completed 6 months later.Using the classic excuse it got lost in the mail,with no delivery confirmation no.Many websites are posting complaints against the Feather Emporium.

Great Feathers At Featheremporium
I've never had a problem with featheremporium. One time an order did get delayed after it was shipped, but that was of course not their fault. It was my responsibility to track my own package. They have high quality items and everything is always exactly as stated in the ordering policies. Will do business!

Feathers That Never Got To Me..
Posting this to hopefully help others avoid going through a similar story..
The website is pretty nice. I was very excited when I got to it.
Unfortunately. Over a month later of making my order, my feathers never came.
David, the owner it seems, talked to me at first and now he has ignored me calling.
So I guess I will not get to see my order ever.
I have tried contacting him, and he wont answer the phone or emails.
I strongly suggest.. even if the feathers look pretty on the website.. dont buy from them. you might not get them ever.. Just stay away from this website.

i had excatly the same experiance with mr feather emporium,a very smooth talker but i can whole hearthly not recomend buying anything from this guy.the site looks great and being a fly tyer was very excited when i came across his web site,i wasn t working at the time and what with phone calls from ireland to america and the order probably set me back 200 dollars.that order by the way was 2 years ago
