My Experience With Hobby-space

Hi,

with big doubts, reading a number of reviews I decided to make an order of only one kit.

I made the order on the 28th May 2014 and on the 9th of June 2014 the kit arrived (Trumpeters Mig-15 UTI Midget). During this time I was kept updated.

The package was very well packed and it was delivered much quicker than I expected (delivery time is informed to be between 15-30 days).

All in all, I am satisfied and will definitely make another order!

No Ordered Kit, No Refund!

I ordered a kit back on 5 January. This my order clearly included both, billing and shipping address. In few days I got a report from these guys that the order is shipped but there was no tracking number or any another confirmation on this shipping. Since their web-site says that they provide customers with tracking numbers I asked for this number for my order. NO reply! A couple of news emails them, - no replies again. After about 1.5 months of awaiting for my order and not getting this one I sent an inquiry them and I was soon reported that my order was actually shipped but to a BILLING address which was different from an address to ship!! I asked them then to resend my order to my actual shipping address which was included in the order initially but then no replies again. During the next about weeks I send them adozen of emails at least before I was answered that... their boss is absent and they can not solve a problem wth my order. Thus, after three months since I palced my order NO kit was ever shipped to me and NO refund was made! My money have been simply STOLEN by them!!! So, these guys are simply THIEFS! Be aware!!

They Keep Your Money And Do Not Ship

Cut and paid my order on January 21st. Year-end festivity, heave patience (ok)

When in February I relized they were not shipping, I asked for info. They first tried to confuse me with wrong tracking number, then replied just to delay. My order is still there to be seen: shipment is "pending" and my money is "captured"

These are bandits, stay away from them.

Problematic Inventory And Lack Of Communication

I ordered 5 each of 2 different items from hobby-space.com along with the expedited shipping option. A week after I placed my order I asked for a status update. They replied by saying that they only had 3 of one item and had to order more from the manufacturer. It should arrive in one week. This caused a bit of confusion as their website boasts "real time inventory" on every page. When I placed an order the shopping cart did not give a warning of insufficient quantity.

Another week passed and I asked for a status update. They replied that they cannot fulfill the missing items. They now claim that they only have 2 of one item in my original order. I asked them to cancel my order and give me a full refund. Two days pass without a response from the seller when I decided to file a dispute with PayPal. The following day I got an email from hobby-space.com with a tracking number for standard shipping and not expedited like I ordered.

They decided it was okay to modify my order without informing me of the changes. To add insult to injury they wanted me to place a "next order" so that they can include the 3 missing items from my original order. I escalated my dispute to a claim with PayPal. But because the seller shipped out something, even if it was incomplete, PayPal had to make the buyer wait for the seller to stop the shipment. It is still located in China.

Avoid doing business with the people at hobby-space.com. They know how to work the system at PayPal so that buyers have no option but to wait a long time to get a refund on missing items and over charging for standard shipping.

I am glad hobby-space.com posted a comment even though I am a bit concerned that they took liberty to post private information which can be obtained through the tracking number.

They just confirmed that I paid for HongKong Post. At the time that I placed my order HongKong Post was the most expensive shipping method provided by hobby-space.com. It also had a faster estimated arrival of 10-20 days compared to China Post which had 15-30 days according to their website. Unfortunately they decided it was okay to use China Post without consulting me. Anyone who bothers to check the tracking number they posted will see it is for China Post and not HongKong Post.

As for their claim that the items arrived on time is not true. I placed my order on 4th of March and the items did not arrive until the 5th of April. Again going back to the fact I thought I was buying in-stock items and paid for 10-20 days shipping method.

I finally got a refund on the cost of shipping yesterday but not after I posted the negative review here. They even had the nerve to ask if I wanted a refund for the difference in shipping and instead offered a tiny discount coupon for my next order. After what I had been through there will be no next orders. I will not remove my review for hobby-space.com so that others wont make the same mistake I did.
