I ordered a new laptop from techdepot.co.uk, I choose this wesite because the price was good and the laptop was in stock (the same laptop was out of stock elsewhere). I had read a few negative reviews about the site but ignored them as I always think people moan more than they are positive! I was contacted by techdepot one day after my order to check it and was told it was out of stock and would not be in stock for 3 weeks. I was not in a rush and the price was good so I said that was fine. They took the money from my account that exact day. 4 weeks passed so I contacted techdepot and they said it would be another 4 weeks until it was in stock. I asked to cancel my order for a full refund. The website still was advertising the laptop as in stock.

Well, this is my first experience with techdepot and initially i was impressed, I spoke to one of their customer advisors to ensure that being my first order I could have the product delivered to an alternate address. Which was fine, I proceeded to place the order which went through smoothly.

Later that day I received an email informing me that the laptop purchased was not available from their vendors and asked if i would like to cancel or wait for 4 months until it is back in stock. All of this dispite the website stating the product was in stock, while other similar products were not.

I find it very difficult to trust companies that operate like this, so I strongly advise you call to check stock first, regardless of what their misleading website says.

If the product had been delivered i'm sure the service would have been fine, but as it stands I recommend to look else where.

Made a right mess of my order, and in the end said it was a mistake in the listing and they cant honor the order.

Then proceeded to hold onto my money for several days before it was refunded.

Avoid.

Bought the Hanspree TV which was on a weekly via their easy to use website. Even if it wasn't on a special deal, the pricing would still have been better than anywhere else.

Delivery was next day despite being only £2.99!

Very impressed. Will definately use again.

Although the machine had hardware/software faulty (it was not techdepot's fault) and acer's service was extremely poor, techdepot managed to solve the problem without letting me argue with the poor acer's customer service.

Bought a harddisk from TechDepot and could find a good priced one easily. Delivery and payment were good and the website was easy to use. Very clear website with large choice of products. Mostly IT

I like that they are part of Office Depot so I knew I could definately rely on them to deliver and would be there if anything went wrong.
