Hi Recently purchased a Acer Aspire note book through shoplaptop. They are now a Comparison site which made it very easy to find the best notebook for me and at the best price, rather than spending hours trawling the net. The site was great it has a excellent side by side comparison function and a very helpful buyers guide.

Shoplaptop have debited the money from my credit card 4 times!

I found the telephone line difficult to get through on

I have received no reply to emails

The Shop Laptop website is excellent - Best of all they have very polite staff and they're free to call - Maybe their competitors should sit up and take note!

If thinking of buying from shoplaptop.co.uk I would contact them to find out whether they are still in administration before ordering.

We ordered a laptop for these guys and it also got rejected because of a Bank details mismatch, which is fine. However we received no email or phone call to say as such. When I eventually called the next day after waiting for the item to arrive, wasting a lot of time.

Just to top it off the item we purchased at a decent price was sold out while our order wasn't fulfilled.

I would avoid this company at all costs.

The Sales line and Customer Services line is a free 0800 number too, WOW!

The company's website is very good and easy to use, please note though that many of the laptops order via CET are shipped directly from CET's suppliers who import them directly from the manufacturer in China or the Far East - This means that you are relying on the importer to ship the correct product to you, not Shoplaptop or CET as the company trades.

My personal experience is that their customer service and sales skills do not exist. They may be OK to use if they ship you the right product and it works OK, but looking at other website reviews on this company, if anything does go wrong, as it did with me, then hold on tight, you won't enjoy the ride!

Tip: Go to PC World's business section with some internet printouts, as they will usually match the online price, and if you have any problems then you have a shop to stand in until they sort it out.

I ordered a laptop from Shoplaptop, and they emailed me for a security check. I phoned them and got an extremely rude salesman, who practically accusing me of being a fraudster, (I wanted a Saturday delivery). My order was cancelled and the phone slammed down. I complained to his manager, who then abused me too. Great customer service mates!
