Terrible after sales care!

I ordered a 64 page photobook which took a long time to compile. On one of the pages some of the text was obscured by the photo.

I assumed this was my error so ordered another book - making sure that all text was visible. BUT the second book also had missing text! In addition the photo quality was poor as many of the images were too bright and too red/organge. When I raised this with the company they wanted me to send photo evidence which I did. After more backward and forth on email they then wanted me to recreate the photo book and reorder but the photos were no longer saved on their server. So they expected me to go the time and effort to upload the photos and recreate the 64 pages with which they were not prepared to do anything about the errors.

Oh they did offer me 10% of my next order - as if there is ever going to be a next order.

Please avoid using this company there are many better and cheaper companies online.

I wish I'd taken some time to read the reviews before I ordered.

As justdedicate has indicated, this company are not based in UK - they're actually based in Germany, and use a variety of country specific domains to lull people into a false sense of security that they're using a local company with reasonably fast delivery times. They don't even provide a phone number.

They're 100% customer satisfaction guarantee is also a joke - they don't even reply to emails, particularly once you start asking for a refund when your photos haven't arrived after a month!

One star is one too many.

Myphotobook are keen to promote their 100% satisfaction guarantee, based on my experiences I really wonder how seriously they take this or how they even get to this number. My photos never arrived, so I tried to get in touch. No phone number so the only way to reach them was via email. After two emails they eventually got back to me with a template with some irrelevant suggestions (check with your neighbour, call the post office). Nothing has arrived since: no photos and no replies.

There are a lot of good companies out there who provide excellent service, myphotobook isn't one of them. Don't use them.

I ordered a photobook form this company a few days ago; it was my first attempt at such a project. It was a gift for my son's 30th birthday.

I was reluctant to try this, as most of the old photos were prints taken more than 20 years old and obviously taken with non-digital cameras, so what I did was, I took photographs of the prints with a small cheap digital camera. The results were amazing.

The whole process is easy: just download a small piece of software from their website, upload as many photos you want, choose the size of book, hardback/softback, number of pages, background, etc, and then just arrange your photos and text on each page. There are more than enough editing facilities. Then all you do is send your choice to myphotobook.

I received mine less than a week later. I'm absolutely thrilled with the result.

The photos came out exactly as expected - no deviation in shade or colour. Fantastic. The company also send prompt emails to update you on your order progress.

The only advice I would give, is if you need to crop pictures, then I would do it before you upload them to myphotobook. It might be less time-consuming in the long run.
