Absolutely Terrible Online Retailer- Tried Buying
absolutely terrible online retailer- tried buying a laptop from them, had to order it 3 times before the order was accepted, however the money was taken from my account 3 times, and have only been refunded once so far. Laptop sent to wrong addressed, damaged and sent back to them by the courier service. When I asked whether they would send a new they told me they would just refund the money and I would have to order a new one.

Always Heard Bad Things About Micro Warehouse Aka
Always heard bad things about Micro Warehouse aka Mac Warehouse aka PC World Business, but figured they must've sorted themselves out by now, having been trading for so long. Besides, they were the only company at the time showing the scanner I needed in stock (56 items in stock apparently).
I paid for the item and 'next day delivery' on a Wednesday eve (so realistically didn't expect delivery until Friday). On Thursday I received about 20 phone calls from a 'blocked' number throughout the day, and always with nobody at the other end. Eventually they called and someone WAS there, needing to make a 'security check'. After asking me to repeat information I had entered on the payment page, the clerk said that as they couldn't reach me earlier, I now wouldn't receive delivery until Monday. I objected and after going away to discuss it with someone, he came back and agreed that I would receive delivery the next day.
Friday came and went with no delivery.
Then Saturday.
Then Monday!
Finally I called the 0844 assistance number at 4pm on Monday to be told that my scanner was due to be dispatched today from their supplier. I was stunned and asked why it still hadn't been dispatched ...Now this is where it gets funny: Apparently 'in stock' doesn't mean in stock; According to Micro Warehouse 'in stocl' means they have a supplier with it 'in stock' but even that doesn't guarantee that said supplier will dispatch the item.
And, better even than that: 'Next day delivery' doesn't mean next day delivery. "Excuse me?" I asked. No, apparently the 'next day' part refers to am entirely theoretical minimum delivery time with no guarantees whatsoever. The Customer Services supervisor I eventually spoke to considered it perfectly acceptable to take payment for next day delivery despite having no control whatsoever about when their suppliers would ship, and even after an hour long conversation still wouldn't guarantee me delivery on Tuesday (a full week after my initial purchase).
Heed the other reviews on here, save yourself the bother and avoid Micro Warehouse, Mac Warehouse and PC World Business. I only wish I had.

This Is The Worst Online Purchasing Experience I H
This is the worst online purchasing experience I have ever had. I was warned about Microwarehouse before but they were the only U.K retailer selling this particular firewire webcam which was necassary for building a Reactable. They showed heroic levels of incompetence! First of all sending a TV wall bracket instead of the webcam and 2 days late as well. When I complained I was told that this would be collected and the correct item sent to me (no apology) bizarrely the girl implied it was my fault even though I had an e-mail confirming that I'd ordered the webcam and not the TV wall bracket (a pretty difficult mistake to make by anyone's standards!). 2 days later the item was collected. 4 days later still no camera, when I called I was told I would have to pay for a new one to be sent even though I'd been told that a new one would be sent out in it's place... You know what, I could go on for ages about each stage of the many errors by Microwarehouse but I won't bore you, I'm sure you've got the picture. I had to spend about 2 hours in total on their 0870 number. The people on the phones are perfectly friendly but their customer service system needs a serious overhall if they are to achieve any level of competence. One last point, it took 4 attempts to get them to refund the money from the first time I paid for the camera and when they did finally get around to paying me they short changed me by £11.50! For your own sanity, PLEASE do not buy from Microwarehouse..

Initial Purchase Process With Micro Warehouse Was
Initial purchase process with Micro Warehouse was not a problem.If you have any problem with the goods you encounter their customer service process which is geared to doing as little as possible as slowly as possible.If you are a business customer you are not protected in the same way as a private consumer. Microwarehouse taught me that! Four weeks ago they delivered a faulty printer. Since I did not complain within the first fortnight (I was traveling) they will do nothing about it.Lesson? Only make personal purchases, never buy from Microwarehouse as a business.

I Ordered A Hard Drive, A Flash Drive And A Copy O
I ordered a hard drive, a flash drive and a copy of MS Publisher '07 Academic from Micro Warehouse. Their prices are good, especially for software - they have a huge range of OEM and Academic License software, which are half the price of 'Retail' versions - and their checkout system is simple and easy to use.
There was one minor hiccup in that the hard drive wasn't available in their warehouse until the following week, even though it was listed as "In stock" on its page. As I did not have time to wait for it to arrive I called the Customer Service line. I got through to an assistant almost immediately, who instead of fobbing me off, actually listened to what I had to say and why I couldn't wait for one item to slow down my order. She then very sensibly cancelled just the hard drive and confirmed the rest of my order.
The order arrived the very next day by Parcel Force. Also, when I sent a Feedback email to CS telling them about my experience, I actually got a personal response, where the assistant explained that they were having some stock taking problems after moving warehouses.
(I should also draw attention to the fact that the other review here was written over eighteen months ago. The company has doubtless changed since then.)
I Ordered A Sipura Spa-3000 From Micro Warehouse O
I ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 from Micro Warehouse on 27th January 2006. They took the money from my account on the very same day. According to their website 'Availability Usually 4 days' However, when I checked on their website on the 2nd of February to see if my order was on its way only to find it was still expected on the 14th of February. Then when I checked again on 9th of February, it was expected on the 1st of March! I contacted their customer services who replied to me that 'the supplier has given us a eta of the 28.02.2006' However, when I checked again on 17th of February, the expected date was again changed to 14th of March! It was way too late. So I then cancelled the order and expected to be given a refund to my card that day. By the 22nd of February the money still had not been credited back to my account so I phoned them the following day. They then informed me that the refund had only just been done on Monday the 19th 3 days after my cancellation. They also informed me that the refund would take 10 working days, I should expect to receive it sometime the following week. I was not at all happy with this so I requested to speak to the Manager, then to find out I had actually been placed onto the telephone loop again talking to no one but music. It is now almost a month after my payment, what we got from them so far, is no delivery and no refund. Needless to say neither would I recommend this company to anyone. The service is absolutely unacceptable and I will never use them again!
