Ordered a 2nd hand laptop from IT factory. Arrived promptly in good condition. Discovered shortly after that the battery wouldn't hold charge (didn't even meet their particularly low warranty guarantee) contacted them and was asked to return the battery for replacement. Sent the battery recorded delivery, and heard nothing for several weeks. Got no reply to emails for some time longer, until finally extracting a promise to despatch a replacement immediately. Another week passed with no response until I phoned their business line and managed to get them to send the replacement.

Be careful if ordering "second user" equipment from this company as although they claim to test all goods before sending them out it appears that some faulty goods get sold anyway. And if you need items replaced under warranty, you have my sympathy.

IT factory.co.uk www.itfactory.co.uk - Just bought a used IBM Thinkpad T22 laptop from them, got it in two days, ready to run straight out of the box. Can't believe how great this laptop is for the money, less than £400 and it's as sturdy as you like, more or less good as new. The battery doesn't last for ages, but that's about the only fault I can find.

If you're after an IBM laptop, but can't face paying over the odds for a new one, you could do a lot worse than pick up a used one from these guys. They get my thumbs up.
