If Only I Can Give 0 Star. Thinking That Their Web

If only I can give 0 star. Thinking that their website is Uk registered I would be safe, but the product came from overseas, arriving almost a couple of weeks after the purchase. The only reason I bought from this website because of price. However this is false economy because after 3 months, the battery died suddenly (it was a laptop battery which is warranted for 24 months). I returned the item to them (to China!) but only after 1 month they replied that they have received the item, and took a good few weeks in sorting out how much they would refund me. Contrary to the terms and condition, they deducted the postage and handling charge before the refund. And when I asked for a new replacement instead of refund, they even have the courage to ask for more money upfront to pay for postage and handling charge! So either way I lose out. Now I am without a battery and the money has gone to waste. They have gained a faulty battery which they will then repackage and sell to the next gullible buyer. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. Remember, they are cheap for a reason!

Never Ever Buy From Battery4laptop.org.uk

Never ever buy from battery4laptop.org.uk

Their batteries might be cheap but their customer service is attrocious.

Reasons not to buy anything from battery4laptop.org.uk

1. It takes 15 days to deliver from Hong kong (Says in the small print but not highlighted at point of sale)

2. Mistakes can happen with any company but having sent the completely wrong battery they then ask you to send it back to a factory in China and you have to pay the postage.

3. Once returned they will send a replacement but ask for more money for postage (remember it was their fault). If you want a refund they do not refund the full amount they take off any postage charges they have made and add an administration fee. This can account for a 33% loss (plus your postage cost back to China) and it wasn't even your fault!

4. To add insult to injury instead of refunding the original card you paid for it with, they insist on paying via paypal which means following their international charges you get even less mone back.

Please, please, please do not buy from them. They use an extension of .org.uk but they are not even based here in the UK. Don't waste your money!

I found this review very helpful because this is exactly what happened to me when I bought a replacement battery for my laptop. The battery stopped working after 3 months. I had to send it back to China with international postage costs. Once received, it took them a month and after chasing to acknowledge the receipt. And after repeated chasing, it took them a long time to work out the refund. Which is much less than what I paid for the item itself. And when I asked for a replacement item, the have the guts to ask for more money from me, for the postage and handling to send a replacement item. They are in breach of their own terms and conditions regarding defective product warranty, and they are in breach of the trading standards. They are not based in the UK, do not be fooled by their website. I am taking this matter up with the credit card see what I can get back.
