I bought two of the same dress in two sizes, to keep one and return the other. Both dresses were miles too big. I contacted to return them. They won't accept a return, they have asked what is wrong with the dresses.... My reply nothing simply too big. I have mailed photos, but still no joy. They have taken extra money out of my account, nearly £12 more than my receipt states. I have now contacted my credit card provider, who are investigating them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I ordered a couple of dresses from www.urdress.co.uk, with a view of returning one of the dresses based upon best fit and complimenting my figure. Again like others I believed that the website and company were UK based. I wish I had undertaken a more comphrehensive review..

I am now stuck with a dress that does not fit, the company is offering me no return details and keep offering me 10 or 20% refund of the dress as compensation. I am gutted as I paided £250 for the two dresses and I am so out of pocket and have two dresses the same colour and one that does not fit me at all with no scope for any adjustments by a local tailor - as they advised - not that I want or need two dresses. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

On a positive note, the dresses are really lovely, but like I said don't require two dresses of the same colour and style...

I can't believe what I have run into with this website... I thought it was uk based and then I ordered then I read the reviews then I panicked then I received a bunch of rubbish and now I'm like :(

Anyone reading this should get how gutted I feel right now for spending £103 and getting a load of rubbish

I too did not read the reviews as I thought this was a UK web site but it turns up that it is based in China. We ordered a prom dress that when it eventually arrived looked nothing like the picture. The dress was poorly made with shabby finishes they was 2 sizes to big. I wouldn't even give it the dog to sleep on.

They took nearly £10 more out of the bank than authorised which my bank is very interested in and I have also reported them to trading standards as they use pictures from other web sites and try to copy them so you will never get the dress you order. Citizens advice say I have no chance of them getting my money back as their oversea rules do not apply to us.

So all in all an awful experience from a dodgy company.

So I ordered a prom dress from here without reading the reviews. The website looks really professional and I've also spoke to them on the website and nothing seemed dodgy. It's only after I googled extra reviews (after ordering) that I had seen such negative reviews about the quality of the dress being bad etc. nearly had a heart attack reading them and was really not looking forward to prom anymore.

My dress came today and I was very ecstatic to see that it did look like the picture. The material was a little different but very good quality. I really liked the dress but they didn't make any of the adjustments that I had asked for!

I'm only writing this review to put people's mind at rest. Some reviews are extremely bad when in actual fact you don't have to worry much. This is in NO WAY a recommendation; so please don't order from here! I wrote this purely for the people who have already ordered without reading these negative reviews like me. If anyone is seriously stressing then feel free to email me at: [email protected] and I will happily provide you with the pictures of my dress to ease your worries. I know I would love for someone to have calmed me down which is why I have written this review.

Please please if you're reading this; then don't bother buying anything from this website! Although I liked my dress; it isn't worth going through so much stress when the company so clearly not UK based! I guess I just got lucky - won't be buying from here again.

Dresses come from China and NOT from the UK. Yes, if you research their web site you can see that in one of the hidden layers of information. If you have a dispute, the only way to contact the retailer is via their web site and they will not answer you. I ordered 2 dresses totally more than £170 and have lost my money. The dresses are of poor craftsmanship...uneven bodice, disproportionate details, bulging of material...basically looks like a novice slapped something together. On top of that I had to pay duty fees of an extra £20 on "goods" they claim are $28 "samples" on airway bill!

Shame on undress.co.uk! Wish we could petition to shut down web sites as these.

I ordered a dress for a formal ceilidh. As the standard dress sizes don't fit me properly, I paid £25 extra to get the dress custom made. The dress came on time for the event, but it was nothing like the dress in the picture on the website. It had different sleeves and completely different detailing. Also, the dress was too long AND too wide!

I emailed the customer service team to inform them that I wanted to return the dress for a full refund. The reply I got was disrespectful. They told me that I should consider the hard work their employees had put in making the dress and offered to pay me £15 if I kept the dress. Naturally, I refused their offer and asked for them to send me the returns information. Again they asked me to consider their employees who needed their wages and offered me £45. Naturally, I got angry at this point and sent them another email complaining about their customer service and asking for the returns information. It has been a week, and no reply yet.

DO NOT waste your money on this site! They advertise good quality dresses for lower price, but what you will get for your money is everything but.

I bought my prom dress from this site and I love it, I seen these reviews and started panicking because of how bad the reviews were! My dress is great and it arrived in plenty time for my prom. I got mine custom made and fits great and has a built in bra, a lot of the reviews say 'oh im a standard size 10 and mine never fit' well you should of looked at the size guide which will clearly tell you if it will match your size or not, because the measurements do not match the standard uk sizes. Just leaving a review so people don't have to go through the same panic as I did because of some of these reviews.

This is the most disappointing thing that has happened to my daughter who brought a dress for her leavers dinner. You are ridiculous

Here is a copy of an email I have just sent to this 'company' I suggest everyone complains about them to the Office Of Fair Trading and Their local Ombudsman to stop them ripping off more people.

This email was sent in response to one I had from them disputing the delivery address. I responded with, concerned that their website was no longer available. They responded that it was being "upgraded". This was my final response:

Dear 'Undress'

I am sorry but I do not believe you.

If your website was being upgraded you would still be able to find the url.

Your domain name is not available to be found on any search engine. See below screen-grab

Because of this I am very concerned about the money I have spent with you and the non-delivery of the item.

I have disputed the credit card payment with the bank and do not wish to do business with you. I have ordered the same dress from another company who have a guarantee and have spoken with me directly and confirmed my order.

I do not believe you have made or sent the item at all, I have provided you with a delivery address no less than three times already.

I look forward to having my money refunded and will be leaving a very negative review of your business on-line.

I have copied the Queensland Ombudsmen and also the Office Of Fair Trading so that they can issue an alert about your business practices.
