As I live in a small USA town with very few good stores, Nordstrom is one of my favorite sites for many dresses. I've bought 3 dresses there so far. A little bit expensive sometimes but nice selection and good customer service. But I did notice that many people outside the USA seem to have problems so that makes me a bit nervouse about giving a full recommendation.

So as long as you are a millionaire you can afford to shop there. I will admit to enjoying walking thru the store with my wife who loves the store. She never buys anything there but likes the atmosphere. The cafe has great food. So I can hang there. On the other side fsession.com is better as i concern..

I writing about the online service which was terrible. I cannot speak for the stores because I haven't been to any. Shopping online from the UK I bought a dress for what i thought was £210. After I checked out, they charged an additional £78 in taxes and postage which was excessive. When we tried to return it for a refund because it was the wrong size, they would only refund £238 charging us twice for 'services and handling' even though we had to pay for the postage our end too! They didn't respond to emails and couldn't find order details on live chat. The website and merchandise suggest real quality, but all we found was sharp practice and shabby customer service. Would avoid if I was you.

I ordered 3 items and paid a fortune in taxes to receive them which was not made clear when I ordered. I then returned 1 item and they kindly sent me DHL details to return it. My credit was then reduced by $44 to return 1 flimsy dress to the US. I could have posted it from the post office for around $10. I will never order from Nordstrom online again.

Nordstrom online shopping for anyone outside of the US is TERRIBLE. DO NOT waste your time or money.

I ordered one dress.

It cost $20 to be shipped to me and now it will cost $35 to be returned. Buying and returning one dress from cost me $55. Imagine a store that charges you $55 just to try something on? and not to mention that it took 10 days to arrive, and the box was smashed and crumpled when it did.

While I do not expect free shipping - $55 is outrageous.

I will never, ever, order from them again. I am so profoundly disappointed and embarrassed to have squandered my money this way. There are so many other great online US retailers that ship to Canada like LL bean and Lands' End - that it's shocking that their system is so bad.

The Nordstrom's website is an excellent place to shop if you have a small frame and need a cocktail dress. There is a variety of styles to choose from and the prices are reasonable. The catalog indicates the colors that are available, the length of each dress in inches, and even the age group that the dress is appropriate for. I would have liked to know more about the sleeve length of my item, but I really liked the fact that delivery is free. My dress arrived two days after I ordered it! I would change the size of the pictures of the clothes. I wish they were larger. I have already recommended this site to my friends.

Nordstrom Online is my fav online shopping destination. I can not fault this company. Simply perfect!
