Custom-made Wedding Gown Not As Expected
Do not recommend. Beware! Not responsive after they take your money and send you the wrong dress… or horribly sewn dress!
I found evergreen.dress2010 through ebay. They also sell custom made gowns off ioffer under a different name.
Communication was great at the beginning. I sent them photos and specifications, and both parties agreed on how the dress will be made (material, design etc). Payment sent was then sent. Their turnaround time response for emails was 24 hours.
They will not send photos of finished dress before shipping the dress out, although I did ask. I sent them emails in between production to remind them and confirm that the colors and design were correct. They seem to always mistake me for others or “doesn’t remember we had the agreement”, I would keep having to state, “Please refer back to the email we had, you agreed to it.”
After a few weeks, I emailed to confirm the date of arrival; they confirmed that it was almost ready and will notify me when the dress is sent out. Never notified me but I did receive the dress two weeks later (one week later than promised).
Was not happy with the dress received. Probably looked about 50% of what I expected. I mean, it’s from China, I didn’t expect a designer gown, but gee, at least look decent. It was horrible. Stitching was poorly sewn (crooked on the bottom, material not folded neatly), there were a lot of hanging lose threads, hanging beads. One side of the dress (by the hips) had a big bump, the way the fabric was sewn and folded was way wrong. I requested for a plain dress, with no beadings or lace, but sure enough the dress was covered with both. I had also asked them to make a stash in a very specific color (white) and the stash came in purple and sewn on to the dress, although I had specifically asked them not to attach it to the dress. The string to lace up the dress was horrible - It was 2 pieces of fabric sewn together and they weren’t aligned correctly so the string is twisted.
I immediately took photos of the dress and sent it to them. I thanked them for sending the dress and pointed out the problems with the dress. NO RESPONSE. Took a few days and another email, and then they finally replied… that they were “having computer issues”. After a couple of emails (note: their response were now longer…as compared to before when it was within 24 hours) They offered to make me a new dress if I pay $95 OR I can go get the dress fixed and they’ll refund me $20. No. I told them that I am not going to pay for another dress when it was not my mistake and getting the dress fix will cost me more that $20 --- plus how do I take the beadings and lace off without HOLES in the dress?? … Well, I have not heard from them. I’ve sent them two more emails to follow up and it has been over a week… NOTHING. I will never purchase a wedding dress made from China again and I definitely will not recommend this place.
