I made a huge order from Dancedirect in September 2015, over £150 worth of products, amongst which was a dance belt. I called in advance to check their return policy, as it clearly states they do not accept return on dance belts, but since i was unsure about the size i thought i would call and check whether it would possible to make an exception and return the dance belt, before ordering it. To cut a long story short, after purchasing the dance belt and returning it for a bigger size, i was advised on the phone to purchase a new dance belt and to send the one i had already ordered for a full refund. I received the new dance belt, but they refused to refund the old dance belt for hygiene reasons and kept on making allegations that the item is not clean and they do not return dance belts. This was extremely deceiving. I will never order anything from dancedirect ever again. Dancedirect never responds to emails. Shameful for this deceit.

Awful on all accounts; service, shipping, answering the phone, refunds, everything! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

This company states that they only take payment at time of dispatch. However they have taken almost £60 from my account and not sent anything! Phone lines are unanswered, emails are ignored and I have had to go to my bank to try and get my money back. It's been a month now since I ordered. This is not good enough. Avoid this company and order elsewhere.

I have had good service from this company in the past, but my recent experiences are leading me to believe they cannot continue to do business successfully. Having placed an order, converting sizes as they suggested, the shoes didn't fit... so I returned them at my own expense for the size I would have ordered if I hadn't followed their guidelines. I heard nothing for 4 weeks and was unable to contact them by phone or email. The phone lines simply cut off once they rung for a certain time. I then received a credit to my account for the amount paid less postage (the shoes have now cost me as much in postage as the original price). I purchased the product elsewhere. Another 3 weeks later, they took the price of the shoes from my account again and sent me another pair - again with no communication. I now have a pair of shoes I don't want, have paid twice the price for them with all the postage costs and would have to return them at my own expense again - not financially worth it. Don't trust a company that takes money from your card with no communication!

Ordered Bloch tap shoes for my daughters. I knew what sizes they needed because they already use this brand, but the sizes that were delivered were 3 sizes too big because they had "converted" them. I explained on the phone that I hadn't needed them converted because I had ordered the right size and was told they would be happy to exchange them if I returned them at my own expense! Apparently they haven't sent me the wrong size, it's my fault because I didn't read the size guide. My understanding of a size guide is something you use if you don't know what size you want, not where the company publishes details of it's trading practice. I didn't get the sizes I ordered. It's not my mistake. Look at their facebook page, 5 dissatisfied customers in the last hour right now.
