Came across these guys on Facebook and thought a shawl would make a nice gift for my wife.

I had never tried alpaca before but I thought I'd get the mother something a bit different from the bog standard wool variety this Christmas. After hearing about this boutique grassroots company from a friend in fashion I decided to give it a go. Ordering was painless and despite it being the second week of December (always been a bit rubbish with Christmas preparations!)to my surprise, they arrived within 4 days. Mum was amazed by just how snug and soft they were, she now uses them as a replacement for her slippers. I just want to thank whoever is behind this wonderful product and to warn them that I intend to raid their collection (the chalina's look to die for) in anticipation of Mothers Day!

I have now brought two scarves and a throw for members of both my family and my partners family. I am really happy with the quality of the products, they are so soft and the service received. All parties have been really happy with the products, I brought the first scarf Christmas 2013 and it is still looking great and hasn't gone bobbly like other scarves can do!

I recently received an Azuaya shawl and a pair of socks as a gift and cannot express how much I love the quality!!! Now that winter is well and truly here ithey are doing a great job keeping me warm. Knowing that both have been handmade and hearing about the roots of the company (everything is hand woven in Ecuador) makes them even more special. Im not usually a fan of sheep wool but alpaca wool is so soft on your skin. I'm looking forward to seeing the new products coming in this year! I would recommend Azuaya to anyone looking for something warm, snuggly and ethical.
