Frugi - Organic Clothing For Kids!

I can't remember exactly how i discovered Frugi - i think i spotted a mention in a magazine, but once discovered i have never looked back.

I have boy/girl twins aged 17 months and when looking for clothing for them i take into account the quality of an item, how they were made, whether they look nice and the cost. Frugi is certainly not the cheapest place i have bought kids clothing from, but in terms of my other requirements when buying kids clothes it more then fulfils them - which makes them well worth the money in my eyes.

Frugi clothing is organic and made by adults working for a decent wage, the quality is excellent, it washes brilliantly and wears so well, it just feels thicker and softer and more scrumptious then other brands of clothing. But i have to say what has me most smitten is the gorgeous designs and appliques. Ducks, chickens, tractors, bees, butterflies etc etc. All lovely! As are the stripes, stars and spots and the gorgeous colours! For girls they offer a wide range of colours, not just pink which i find refreshing. I currently buy from the baby range (0-2) but have picked up a lot of sale bargains in the 2-8 range for the twins to grow into as well. Also useful is the fact that the trousers fit over cloth nappies too.

What also has made me fall a little in love with Frugi is the 'brand' itself. Its a cornish company with the best customer service i have ever come across. The postage is the fastest ever - parcel often on my doorstep the day after i have ordered, its a family company set up by parents and still has that small friendly feel to it, they really engage with their customers. Check out their facebook and twitter pages!

I really could not recomend Frugi enough for childrens clothes. They have stockists around the country but check out their beautiful website www.welovefrugi.com - if you use the code HELEN you get 15% off and free p&p. Give them a try!

Gorgeous Organic Clothes With A High Moral Tag To Boot!

I discovered Frugi organic cotton clothing after choosing to go down the cloth nappy route with my daughter.I Soon found out as everyone does that 'normal' trousers just don't fit and after a trawl on the Internet for suitable trousers, I discovered www.welovefrugi.com and thought I would give them a try. I also found them on Facebook (apparently they are on twitter too- no idea about that I am afraid!)

I only ordered a couple of trousers to trial but that was the start of my addiction and we have tonnes of items both new and secondhand from eBay. I have to say they fit disposable bums too and they have been working to improve the fit for everyone.

People say they are expensive but considering the wear you get out of them (easily more than 2 children) and the resale value on several sites I don't think they are that expensive- they aren't cheap but compare to Mini Boden and Jojo Maman Bebe in my opinion and they are always doing a special offer to save a bit - currently FLUMPS gets you 3 for 2 on non- sale items until dec 20th 2011.

In addition the clothes are made from fairly traded cotton, all people in the chain are adults who get a fair wage, get medical insurance and basically get treated in a way you would expect to be treated yourself. this is the most important part for me that keeps me buying again and again along with the fact that Frugi also support 2 charities and An orphanage and therefore show that profit isn't their main goal.

I could go on, the clothes feel so soft (apparently the organic nature of the cotton is good for sensitive skins but we are lucky not to experience any problems here so can't comment - have met many people who do back this up though), they clothes last and last, there also seems to be some magic about them that means stains don't sink in so much and are easy to remove without horrid chemicals..........

If you haven't checked them out please do, their customer service is amazing and I will be buying from them as long as my child fits their clothes. They do do breastfeeding wear too which has won awards- I haven't tried them but again many people rave about them.

Check em out at www.welovefrugi.com

Any negative? Too many nice clothes so that I have to be really strict despite their many offers!
